Older Folks and Vaping

Whoa! Looks very nice but WAY past my price!! Wait a few minutes and the price will come down when they come up with similar ones.

So, for 2 weeks I've been mostly using Mike's LT while we were away. I noticed when I switched to my beloved eGo's that the vape was not as satisfying at all. The problem with the LT is the stupid button that doesn't always work. Very frustrating. I find myself not trusting it to deliver. I don't know if this is a quirk in this particular one or if it is a usual situation. Anybody else have this problem? Anyway, I have some Riders to pick up tomorrow at the post office (they held our mail while we were away) and I'm hoping it's going to fit the bill. My eGo's are starting to die, but I'm not complaining because they've served me well for such a long time. I got a full year out of some of them!! I think I'm ready for a better vape now. I'll let you know how the Rider works out for me and maybe I'll be satisfied with them for awhile or will be looking to move onto something bigger and better. Anybody have any opinions on the Rider? Tex, I know you've tried it. How do you think it compares to others with the same features?

The Rider Robust very similar to the LT only smaller in diameter. It vapes and looks very nice but the smaller 14500 battery doesn't hold a charge for a long time like the bigger battery PV's. It holds a charge about the same amount of time as a 650 ego. They are very nice looking though and I think you will like it.

are you talking about the kanger t3 and t2? the bottom feeders? I tried the t3-really liked the design,but it seemed to give a harsh vape.
I use vv mods but still can't seem to get rid of the harsh taste.Do you have the same opinion?

Harsh may be due to the resistance of the coil vs the voltage you're using. A 1.8 ohm T2 on a KGO hits pretty hard...

Just an update.

I have tried the Vivi Nova and do like it except for the flavor change toward the end of the tank and once that sets in, I have to clean it to get rid of it.

I have tried the T2 and the flavor just isn't there no matter what I try.

I am know using the Vision eGo V3 and it's becoming my favorite. Easy to load and flavor is constant. The downer is the burnt hit now and then but I have yet to do any modding on it to see if that will take care of the problem. If it does then I think this is the one that I will stick with.

I have not tried the Kanger- but am using a CE4 for the first time- I am surprised at how warm the vape has been. Which also means going thru the juice faster and in this case that means using more of my beloved, organic, higher priced Kona Velvet- so I am not sure if this is a good thing or not, lol.

If the harshness on the T3 is due to not wicking well you can try turning over the plastic cap that is on the post and sits on the wick.

I'm using the T3 with an XL3 VV mod. The 1.8 T3 works very well on "low" which meters at 2.98 volts on my XL3. The 2.5 T3 works well at a metered voltage of 3.68.

The Buzz weighs 3.2 oz with batteries, the ProVari weighs 4.2 oz without batteries.

Can anybody tell me if a mini Provari is heavier than a Buzz Pro??????????

From the FWIW department: I try to not leave batteries in the charger unattended but I'm getting older and more forgetful and I'm between the house and the shop a lot. Sometimes I go out there to get something, forget what it was, and end up working on some projectf for a couple hours.

I considered putting my charger into a coffee can or getting one of the bags. I don't like not being able to see it. So, I just thought of this solution. This is an unused glass canister but I think a ball jar, especially a wide mouth one, would work as well.

it's a 2.5 T3. seems like there's either no flavor and as I up the voltage it goes from no flavor to harsh. I really like the rebuildable vision. easy to clean.

I started vaping April 2011 and hardly even do it anymore. But what is going on right now is my delayed detox! Just this week all the symptoms have shown up from the dry, itchy throat to the headaches, night sweats, slight phlegm- the whole bit. None of that happened when I first quit. I did, however, gain 15 pounds right away even though I cut way back on fatty or sweet foods. At first I didn't pay too much attention but then noticed my sense of smell was intense. So vaping is the coolest thing ever, I think. Spend the money I saved on software, a new tablet and indulged in purchasing organic foods and products. All that progress is because of this excellent forum!

That is awesome- congrats! I agree that this forum has been a huge help- I only go to a cpl of specific forums now. I hope to eventually stop vaping but it may take longer than I originally thought- at least I did not stay on 24mg nic juice for that long. I wonder if my brain will need less nic when I finally retire? Sure hope so, ha. How many years did you smoke and how much?

I started the night before I turned 13 so it was 46+ yrs overall. I was a pack+ per day for many years. But I stopped imm with vaping since all we really want is the nicotine- that's how I reasoned it anyway. I have only wanted to smoke a cpl of times ... but I don't smoke anymore, lol, so I just vaped thru it. I quit on 9.17.11 and turned 60 this year. My sense of smell came back so strongly that sometimes it's TMI, ha.
