Yikes! A friend I grew up with his grandparents smoked those. We called them 'humps'. Horrible things.
I started on Vantage with the hole in the middle of the filter.
I was as cool looking as this guy:
I had to laugh at that one- my mom thought she was a heavy smoker until she changed to True menthol- what a nasty cig that was and none of us kids took those. LOL
I always thought I had sinus issues until I stopped the nasties.. duh, lol. I also have not used the inhaler even once since 9.17.11. Yay!
Funny - one of my kids would do that to me - and I always new when a pack was missing. Had to start hiding them
I think Kools would have been a lot better than the hand rolled ones I had to borrow from my Mom. I was not to good at the rolling and always got tobacco in my mouth. Too bad none of this was bad enough to discourage me from smoking 
I remember those! That filter didn't make much sense to me, but I was more interested in "cool" than how it worked. How I wish we'd had vaping back then!
I know about that co-op too.............just not too sure I want one of those. I'm not put off by the high tech aspect, but...........don't know that I want to be downloading software or their updates from a chinese site. Maybe I'm just a little paranoid but it seems like an easy back door into our computers.

I can't believe that you are afraid that the country that built your computer
will now try to find a way to get into it!
Still liking my Vamo it is working great. The only issue i have is that when set to 6.0w it is not 6 w it is higher 6.5 is good as is 5.5 just not 6.0. So not a huge deal i just don't use 6w. Other than that it is great. Would like to get one of the black ones now.

Most all the serious system software is from there to start with. You have no more to fear from them than Microsoft in my opinion. Actually probably less of a worry.
The 6 watt setting problem was fixed in the second edition that included chrome buttons and a longer battery spring. It sounds like you got the very first edition with the rubber buttons. Just don't use the 6 watt setting and there is no problem. That was the only setting that had a problem.
Still, for the money, it is worth every penny! Most people can live a full and productive life without using 6 watts for vaping.
no i got the metal buttons but still am having that issue maybe i should get hold of smoktek and see.

I don't have a Vamo. My info is second hand (at best), but I did get it from the Internet, so it should be Good.
I believe the original 6 watt problem was that it was uncontrolled when set at 6 watts. It would pop the coil as soon as it fired. This doesn't seem to be your problem. Yours is more of a hiccup, annoying but tolerable.
Keep us informed if you find any info.
I don't have an argument with chinese products or software developed there..........just a bit nervous about going to a site there to download. I back out of a lot of sites, no matter where they're located when they start asking me to download something. I guess I'm from the old better safe than sorry school.

Let me clarify my off the hip statement. If you keep your operating system up to date with all the latest patches and are running a decent virus software which is up to date, most all attempts to download something dangerous will be met with a warning first. Also most good virus software will scan the individual download immediately for issues. Keep in mind most companies update their virus definitions DAILY as new threats pop up.
Sure is a shame we have to deal with an environment such as this but it is not going away. You just have to prepare yourself as much as you can. Me...I do full system backups every other day to two different locations, so if I do get stung I can roll back everything to before the incident.
