Oh  my they have both the spinner and the twist in purple  but I told my hubby I would not order anything more before Christmas :(

I do have one question - I currently have 3 eGo twists and I really like the texture/feel of the black batteries. I also have one in staninless steel and I find it to be too slippery. Especially since that one is the 1000 mAh one - so it is longer - I do find it more ackward to use. So can anyone tell me - are the spinners all a "slippery" finish too? Thanks.

    I have a purple Spinner. It's smooth but I don't think it's slippery.

That is good to hear. Looks like I can't order from Altsmoke though - they don't ship to Canada. I do see that Gotvapes does have it in purple and they will ship to Canada - at our own risk - with no tracking. So I will have to do some research to see if I can get one up here. I only have to wait a little over a week and it will be after Christmas  so I guess I have time to look for one.

OK, Mike, time for an update as to what joose device & config you're now using and how ya got dere.

I just got a AGA-T and hope that it delivers better performance than the A-Bomb. Due to da lack of enthusiasm, I never got 'round to modding the VvNs and doubt that I will. Da 'Baby Bunny Balls' helped, but not consistently.

Janet, how ya doin' on your DIY efforts? I must admit that once I mixed several good recipes, I've become lethargic in mixin' up sumpin' new. Just need to get down and experiment some more in developing a couple of kick-.... vanilla and pineapple vapes. Given up on da chocolate...

For da curious, I went back to my 1.5Ω DCTs on VV Grippers, my vaping equivalent combo to comfort food!

    .

Iffy - my favorite vape is the Zen~ ZAP (Z-atty for Provari). It took a few days to get used to the airy draw, but I find myself using it 80% of the time I'm vaping. I started with the stock wick / coil, ~15mmx40mm of 400 mesh and 32 Kanthal @ 1.8ish ohms. It worked well. I experimented all the way up to 100mm of 500 mesh but didn't like it. With a 2.0Ω coil I had to vape at close to 6 volts to get decent vapor. All that mesh acted like heat sink and I had to crank up the volts to heat the coil enough to generate the vapor. My current setup thats working well is 40mm of 400 mesh and 30g Kanthal for a 2.0Ω coil. I went down to 30g Kanthal to get an extra wrap or 2 for more coil area at the same Ω's of a 32g coil.

I don't wrap my coil around the wick. I wrap the coil around a ~2mm drill bit and get it tight. Then I put the drill bit into the wick hole and attach the leads of the coil to the atty. Then light up the coil briefly 3 or 4 times ( </= 3 secs per), this stiff'ins the coil for inserting the wick. Roll the wick diameter such that it slips into the pre-formed coil. It should slip in without having to force it, so you don't scratch through the oxidation of the coil. I found I get a more consistent coil with less futzing to eliminate hotspots doing it this way. I think when I wind the coil directly on the mesh, I tend to crush the wick and cause myself trouble w/ hot spots.

I've only got the one true genny and when it's working I don't like to tear it apart. My next build I'm going back to 500 mesh. I'll probably try ~60mm rolled to about ~2mm. I've been trying different ways with the 400 trying to get consistent with my setups, then I'll go back to the 500.

Where did you get your AGA-T, I've been looking at them the last few days and think I'm ready for one. I don't know if they're all the same from the diff vendors or if one vendors might be 'better'. I hear there's an AGA-T rev2 coming out after the holidays. It's supposed to be all SS. The current AGA's center post isn't SS although the casing/tank is. I was also looking at the AGA w/ SS tank. It has a narrower bottom ring, much like the original DID. I don't like the SS tank but you can get a glass tank for it from ibtanked.

And oh my goodness - tonight I was actually looking at the real DID at mmvapors in Greece. It's really nice, but a bunch more $$$. The standard DID has a 1.2mm air hole or it can be ordered w/ the alternate top w/ a 1mm air hole. (I'm a sucker for the real thing so I should probably buy a DUD and save the $$$).

Did you get the Atom Bomb working at all? I know you weren't liking the airy draw. The Zen's atty's are probably the airiest out there. I really didn't think I was going to like it in the beginning - but when it makes clouds of vapor, it's a pretty satisfying vape and I never get that yucky taste when a carto or Vivi Nova needs replacing.

I've received several orders from AltSmoke and GotVapes with no problem. Sometimes it takes 4 days and sometimes 4 weeks but they have always arrived. It usually depends on how long it has to sit at the border before it is cleared because they get backlogged sometimes.

I receive a tracking notice when it is first received by USPS and then nothing after that. Most places do state that they are not responsible once it is received by USPS. That's reasonable since the vendors have no control once it is in the mail.

    Relax, Enjoy!

X P3 thanks for letting me know. I was just basing it off the AltSmoke website and they did not indicate that they would ship outside of the USA. I did spend some time tonight looking at a number of Canadian sites and did not find any Spinners. I kind of figured that since I now have 3 eGo Twists - that it might be a good idea to try one of the spinners.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to put an order in and see what happens - but I will wait another week or so  I am sure I can. Although I might need to stay away from here.

I actually told myself that I was not going to order anything more for a couple of months - since I have 3 working batteries that I like and more than enough juice - but then I came on here tonight as saw that purple spinner  Now I am starting to understand that while ECF is a great support system - it can be a hazzard to the bank account

Well, I don't know if I qualify for an 'old folk' when I see 50 year PAD habits, but I am 46 and had a 25 year 2 PAD habit. I work at a university, so I always think of myself as old and refer to my age a pushing 50 :p Regardless, I am here! This is my second time around for vaping. I quit analogs a few years ago with one of the Ruan cigalikes shipped from China and 24mg menthol juice. It was rough going and I smoked analogs with the eCig until I quit the analogs and then later I quit the eCig. I started analogs again after a year of stress and have been disgusted with it since. So, this is my second time around and I quit analogs cold turkey while on vacation almost a week ago. I get antsy and think about the analogs, and I take a hits of 24mg nicotine and the urge leaves me.

I am using the eGo model with a handful of varied mAh batteries, Karger T2s with glass tanks on the way since my beloved cinnamon discolors the T2 tanks. In closing, I am loving the support here at ECF, the information freely given, the discussions, and the varied options we have these days.

I don't know if I qualify as 'older folks' -- I'm 37, which is pretty close to middle-aged -- but I started smoking at age 19 and have only just this past couple months been able to go without "having to" have a cigarette. So from a pack a day for 18 years to being able to take it or leave it... pretty good. I couldn't do it cold turkey. I couldn't even do it with snus, not even the Swedish real deal. Vaping is what's worked the trick.

I'm with Elbert on this: I definitely enjoy vaping a lot more than I like smoking anymore. It tastes better, it smells better -- hell, it feels better. A friend of mine who's a smoker asked me a question the other day, and it went something like this:

"But do you get the same satisfaction from that e-cigarette as you do from a real cigarette?"
"I tell you what -- vape for a month, and you'll wonder if you would ever again get the same satisfaction from a real cigarette as you get from vaping."

lisa - as you're finding out a lot has changed in the vaping world in a couple years. Lots of new PV's and juice holders. Sounds like your off to a good 2nd start at vaping. Do ask any questions that comes to mind. What with all the good folks here, just about anything currently on the market is being used by someone here.

Liking your come back to your friend and that says nothing about how much better you phyiscally and mentally feel after being freed from smoking for a month.

    Hi All,
Yiddle just sent me over here with my new spinners problem.
    Thanks Yiddle !!!!!!!!

Am coping/pasting what i wrote on the gotvape page- so bear with me,please.
just received 2 new spinners today- am very familiar with ego twists and many other vaping products-but having problems here with the spinners.

Came in the mail today (pink 900 and fat batt purple)---warmed them to room temp-put them on working ego chargers that work on the ego twists etc-- the white light blinked about 10 times at connection- for each--the purple fat batt-went red- then green after about 15 minutes- but when the button is pressed, no light at all-tried the 5 press to turn it on-nothing happens-no light-nothing.
Tried putting it back on charger-white light blinks about 10 times again- red light, then green light-take it off the charger and push button still nothing. tried the 5 press to turn on again-nothing !!!!!
is there a secret on the spinners to get them to fire ??????
I used working carto and my vision mini tanks definately they are working..

    )
The pink spinner is the same way-no button lighting on either one. ( flashing light when charging but not on push buttons.

Welcome John and Lisan! Feel free to stop by anytime, the more the merrier. Don't know what I would have done without the support of the fine people who hang out here. The support is fantastic and I'm not sure there has ever been a question that somebody didn't have an answer for or at least know where to find it. Age doesn't matter, it's the journey that counts.

Hippy, this was the post that I thought might be of assistance.......seems they're a little different when it comes to charging.........hopefully one of the others with spinners will chime in soon. :)

This is what I just found about charging the 'spinner'
    1. When the battery has run down when first inserted, the button LED flashes quickly 3 times & then goes out for a few seconds & then comes back on & stays on. The charger light turns red.

    2. Once it reaches a certain charge state, the button LED flashes rapidly 8 times & then goes out. But the charger continues charging & the charger light remains red for about 30-45 minutes, then the charger LED turns a solid green.

It seems to charge using a 2 stage process but cannot confirm if it is employing a CC/CV charge which is the correct way to charge Lithium Ion batteries, but it certainly behaves that way & is NOT a faulty battery.

It's perfectly all right to remove the battery after stage 1 has completed & use it. It may even extend the life of the battery.

Credit for this info goes to Thrasher in Florida.

Credit for all the typing goes to me since my D--- Computer wouldn't allow me to cut & paste!!!! Phew:blink:

the charger button lighting stuff works like it says above-but when taken OFF the charger- the abutton just will not light ( turn on) both of these act the same way !! fat batt purple and the 900 pink batt.. just will not seem to turn on, for either one of them.
The joye ego twists that i have look just about the same except for the red line-and they worked right from the start- but after using them so long, battery life is now very short.
Am kind of frustrated here-the spinners should work the same as the twists !!!
