I use a Q-tip to dry any joose. If the contact is cruddy, I'll dip the Q-tip in rubbing alcohol.

The contact is clean. It's the post, it doesn't come up freely and I have to keep pulling it up. It does seem to be better after pulling it up quite a few times. is lubing/cleaning the sides of the post with wd-40 a bad idea?

Funny how we evolve, I think I have come full circle with this. I started with a cigalike (80mah battery) got so frustrated I was ready to quit. Started looking at ego 650's and thought they were way too big (LOL) finally bought a 650-T kit and thought I was in heaven, the tanks soon gave me fits and so I got some ce4's then the rebuildable ce4's, then the 900 mah batteries, then the twists and spinners, then a provari, now I am loving the little 350 ego mini's for work with a bogo carto on them. Don't get me wrong I love the provari with a kanger T2, that is what I use at home, the mini for work and the twist for out and about.Thank goodness I don't have to choose! I tried RBA's and thats not for me, I tried different tanks different cartos and clearos, I am sure I will continue to try new things, but glad to have my reliable stand bys. There really is something for everyone! Now if I could find a vendor that catered to my needs and had the T2's and heads, bogo lr cartos, 18350 batteries, mini batteries, twist batteries, and DIY liquid and flavors I would be all set....oh did I say with the best prices so I don't have to shop around!!!

That's the vapers dream! But as soon as you find a place like that something new comes out that your vendor doesn't have and you're off and searching all over again! I gotta say though, we've got some super shoppers on this thread. Kat or Yiddle or Mattie or Iffy or Tx usually jumps right in with good shopping info.

Lol same here. It's just what I take when I'm out running errands.
If I had to I could probably get by with about 3 for a whole day.

Geeze, I don't take a walk around the block without taking 2 with me with at least 2 ml in each of them! I only ever went out once with only the pv in my hand and wouldn't you know, the battery died. So now I take at least 3 with an extra battery.

Wait, you said you're doing this on an eGo? I don't think you're supposed to pull that post up.

Yes, on an eGo. The internet said it was what I had to do. If it's on the internet, it has to be true, right?

Now I'm confused. You're pulling the center contact of the eGo batt 'up'? We've got quite a few Joye brand eGo batts around the house and I don't think any of them 'move'. How do you even get 'in there' to pull it up?

I don't understand why you would have to or want to pull up the center post on you ego batteries. If my JDD isn't making good contact I gently pull the center post/connecter out just the tiniest bit on the device not the battery. Guess I am confused as to what you are needing to do.

It's not uncommon for folk to 'over tighten' their devices on an eGo batt. By doing so, the center post can be depressed to the point that there is no connection twix the batt and juice.device contacts.

Both the batt and joose device center posts can be 'lifted' to cure that issue. You only need to 'lift' the post a smidgen (1/64" - 1/32") with a dental pick/jewelers screwdriver/knife tip. Just GENTLY pry up at 120° intervals.

As for lubricating the post, there is an isolation nylon/plastic(?) ring around the post. There IS some flexing to allow post-to-post contact. If you use just a drop of a lubricant, let it soak in, then gently push flex to allow the minimal movement and swab out any excess.

No telling how many folk have tossed an eGo batt or carto/clearo due to this relatively common mistake!

Hope that helps! If not, let me know.

Very funny :) Just like everything written in the newspaper...

I think I missed something though, why do you want to move the post? I think we had one 650 eGo that didn't connect well, but we've had a whole mess of them for the past 17 months and most are still working without ever moving the post. Was I supposed to be moving them as maintenance? We always just rolled up the end of a paper towel or tissue and twist it around in there to clean off gunk, or used a q-tip to clean out spilled juice. I wonder if you pull the post up and down if you aren't creating space for juice to get down into the battery? I really don't know much about this battery stuff, I just want to put the pieces together and fire them up. Batteries kind of scare me so I don't like messing with them so I never looked further

By-the-way, nice picture!

Ok, that makes sense, but you wouldn't do it unless you were having a problem right?

Congratulations! That's another nice thing about vaping - we never got excited about getting smoke mail - probably because we never got smoke mail. Let us know how you like it.

It works great. I have it in short mode as long is just toooooooo long.
