@Iffy
Since I rewicked the T3 with the cheesecloth it hasn't had one dry hit. May want to give it a try if you ever decide to use those T3s again.

@Bells
Hang around here long enough and you'll be wanting to try rebuildable atomizers and carto tanks along with the clearos. :)

@Kat
What a great idea for the T2!! I'll try that on the ones I have. My problem with the T2s has been that they kept dumping juice. Not sure what's causing that. Maybe the head wasn't tightened down enough? :unsure:

@Janet
Bacon with whipped cream? Eewwww!! :blink:

@Natasha
So glad to hear you like you new gear!! I doubt that you're getting dry hits due to anything that you're doing wrong. As others have said, it's probably not wicking right. We all seem to deal with that at times.

@Mike
When you said this..."leaching of juice back down the wick into the tank and turning juice dark"...I immediately thought of the Novas. That's my main complaint with them.

@Old C
Bourbon eh? Haven't tried that. I have some Jamaican Rum...but haven't experimented with it yet.

Ok I am right there with all those that love bacon - but only to eat. I cannot imagine vaping it. I am still not even sure about wine or any other drink - cause I think I prefer drinking them. Likely just a mind set - since I love my Cranberry/Apple tea and also like vaping those flavors. So - I might give the wine or even champagne a try - but no bacon shakehead.gif

@Natasha- I am still liking my Evod, T3 and both the larger Vivi Nova and the mini Vivi Nova. I also liked my T2 - but the one I had did have the longer wicks. I haven't used it for awhile, because it was time to replace the head. I did finally order some replacements and they have the longer wicks. I just have too many devices that for now are working.

I do still occasionally get a bit of gurgling with the T3 - but usually just when it starts getting low on juice. I find that if I open it - wipe the juice off the tube and put it back together - I can usually get it to work until it is almost empty. Not sure if it is getting air in - or the wiping of the juice - just that what has been working YMMV. So glad that you are enjoying the new battery and hopefully the juice dispensers will start working well too.

I'm not gonna argue the USPS issue. BUT will say... just as in the past auto industry, the postal service union went down da same 'gold brick road'! We all ran outta gold!!!
Don't argue the USPS issue while saying you're not going to argue the USPS issue. FYI: there are many unions within the USPS, not one shred of your gold (or tax money) goes to the USPS, and USPS rates are still lower than any other country in the world. UAW members are my brothers and sisters. You've been sold a bill of goods if you believe the drivel spewed by greedy Tea Party politicians who want to dismantle unions for the sole purpose of picking your pocket and padding their own.

Old C..yeah let's hear it for the Bourbon flavor. :) Got some in Flavor West Bourbon ...heh...

Fran, I'm not 100% sold on the evod. Hard to see the fluid level and filling them sucks. When I turn mine upside down to fill it, fluid drips out the mouthpiece :( The T3 never does that.

T3 is ok but I think I would like the T2's just as well if not better. They are close to the Vision V3 and the Smok ReDux.

That's already true. And variable voltage too. And why not a Provari the way most rave about them. My desire for new toys would probably be more intense if I knew personally any other vaper or if there was a vape shop anywhere within shouting distance.

One thing I will get as soon as I see it, is a tip/mouthpiece that's cylindrical, like a conventional cigarette filter.

Let me join the others welcoming you to the thread. I too was 2 1/2 PPD and finally ended a 45 year addiction to cigarettes. It didn't happen overnight for me, but it did for my wife. She stopped smoking the day our first e-cig kits arrived. It's now going on 15 months since I had a cig, and I'm so glad I took up vapin' and left smoking behind. We got folks here using just about everything out there so if you have any questoins - just ask - and someone here can offer some advise. Like someone said, you're off to a good start and don't kick yourself for still having a smoke - congratulate yourself for all the cigs you're not smoking.
I won't kick myself if I have another analog. If and when I need one, the object for me will be to figure out what was lacking in my vaping that made me need a regular cigarette. So far, so good. I'm still able to view vaping as superior to smoking. Just got my first 36mg/ml nic ejuice, from Mt Baker. It helps to have something that strong. (Previous juices have been 24mg). I've been researching the juices that are made with real tobacco but the artificial varieties are so far sufficient for me. I'm pretty sure that having formerly been a menthol smoker helps in that regard. I'm finding the 555 Menthol, with 7% menthol (3 or 4 extra degrees of menthol, I don't remember which), to be quite satisfying. Very, very mentholated. Glad I didn't order it with even more menthol. Great price, too.

By the way: what kind of hardware is a "kick" that I've read others talking about, not that I feel I need it?

The "kick" is a module you can buy to insert into a mechanical mod that lets you set the power/wattage that you choose to vape at. It's only for use in a strictly mechanical mod. I'm sure someone else can explain in more detail and better than I.:unsure:

Call me old fashioned, but I still like the EMDCC's the best - eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, Flat Tip

I also dabble with DIY on juice and just made one I really like. It's simple and I thought I would share it. I think that using the eJuice Me Up calculator is a must first of all (free eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

Kat That picture of Aunt Lydia's Bamboo does look white, but pictures can be deceiving. Wondering if it is indeed white or the natural bamboo?

Gracie, is it possible the plastic cap is pushed down too tight and is restricting the juice flow to the coil? Mike cut a little "V" on each side of the cap where it fits over the wick to eliminate that possibility. Just a thought.

The new evic and the updated ego T2 mod allow ego threaded devices to attach without an adapter. Shown with Kanger T3 clearomizers. I have discovered that the threads holding the clero to the control head may be more resistent to loosening than the threads holding the coil and tank together. Removing the clearo in an upright position may result in an unintended juice bath :( . I'm going to try to remember to hold the whole thing inverted when removing the clearo.

Welcome Bigbells and congrats!!!! We also have a social thread where we can talk about anything, and you're welcome to stop by. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/lounge/289745-older-people-55-up.html Mostly the same folks as here, but a few more folks that don't come to this one much. We keep this one strictly to vaping as much as we can so it doesn't get moved. The things that will look like a cig filter are cartomizers with filler material in them. It's basically like what would have come with the blu that you decided against. I don't like them myself, but lots of folks do.

between the T2 and CE5/stardust.......
Now I'm confused, is the CE5 like the rebuilidable stardust, cuz reg ones are CE4's? I had a CE# cheat sheet but lost it in the move, and there are plenty more of em now anyhow.

I read a review where a gal LOVES bacon juice mixed with whipped cream juice. I gagged at the thought but each their own??:confused:

Yipes, I think I woulda gagged too. I've seen one person that said they liked bacon juice and about a million or so say don't even think about it. But yeah we could certainly pass a bottle around. lol I'd never buy any bacon juice, but would probably try it if it was there. Of course it would much more fun to pass around a bottle of tequila!!

You're in the big state of Texas right? There's got to be a Tractor Supply someplace down there.

Kinda like starbuck's in NY, one of every corner! :)

Yeah, wiping out the top with a tissue helps with gurgling. It happens on many things cuz you're going to get condensation. Not sure anything can totally stop it, but Mike solved many issues with his bunny balls. Just a tiny ball of sterile cotton (not cotton balls) on top of the coil. I need to get some and try that. Also said it kept the coils cleaner longer.

Dang. They're sold out. Seems like a good thing to try.

Lots of places are probably still sold out of lots of things. Pretty sure the chinese holiday is over, but I expect vendors are just now maybe starting to get things in. Or we can just blame it on Fran buying them all :)

Hey....other places might have these too, but wow, I got one of these the other day and I love it!! Kinda turns any drip tip into a knucklehead!
