I am happy to report receipt of a <$50 eVic control head via a recent coop. It was $40 and some change. I am much happier with this PV than I was with the VAMO and with the ego t/c 2 mods as backups, I feel vapishly content. It also solves my quandry of the 1.8 and 2.4 ohm T3 coils that got all mixed up.....set the wattage and vape.

It not only has a puff counter, it gives a percentage of battery life and number of puffs remaining. It's smarter than I am. Calendar and clock, too. Next they'll be making smart phone box mods.

Now, gonna find (or wait for) some $10 KPT's and I'll be ready for whatever!!

Have enjoyed catching up on reading all of your posts as usual. Good to see everybody planning ahead for an FDA smackdown. :)

@Fran...I like the I6 too. The I30 is great too...other than my dislike of the metal drip tip... which isn't changeable.

@Bob...please let me know when you find that $10 KPT!

@Janet...guess who's doing a little dripping lately? Yup...I'm really starting to enjoy it with the Vision Eternity and the Smoktech RDA.

Just noticed today that my credit card was compromised AGAIN. On the same day that I placed two ecig orders. I no longer use my regular card for online orders, so it was a Walmart Money Card that is reloadable. Not quite as easy as to deal with the fraud issues as a regular CC though.

Guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get one of the CCs that allows you to pick a virtual number for each transaction. I checked with Chase but they would charge $4.95 a month if you don't have at least $15k in a checking with them. Anybody know of a better deal than that?

Oh...has anybody tried TPA Banana Nut Bread? It smells like acetone to me. And that's the flavor it's giving off too. YUCK! :p

I've never been a fan of any clearo but I find myself very much impressed with the Innokin IClear 16. I've been vaping my DIY peppermint in one for 3 weeks now and it hasn't missed a beat. Taste is way better than any other clearo I've tried.

Oh-oh - could Fran have found competition for her Fusions?

DAVE,,, this is EXACTLY how I feel. I've ordered bunches of coil units. IMO, this is not unlike having to constantly replace nasty clearo heads. I WOULD rewick, but I am NOT rebuilding the wire. To dangerous for ME to assume that I could do! To me.. the KPT is a glorified clearo. It's NOT a carto and a tank. It's a top-f-the-line clearo and I am going to be often replacing heads to maintain flav and vape. I get that, and I personally am OK with that. But... I've had a few go to crap pretty quickly. And wondered if the HIGH "ICE" flavs I vape has something to do w/ this. I had 1 KPT that I had NOT vaped in several days that had VaporGod Peppermint sitting in it. Today, I drag it out... the taste is ACK, and I notice that the ends of the wick are somewhat "blackened". SO I wonder if re-wicking is in order...?
Instead I threw a new coil on it and it's fine now... but I wonder if certain type juices are causing issues.... or something...?
Iam still going to keep using these KPT cuz I've INVESTED now. 12 tanks and 25+ coil units. But really, with the type juices I vape, I can't say that the clearos were not equally as high-maint on the heads!
Plz DO let me know about the EVOD coils and how they do/longevity, plz.

GOTTA GET THIS!
The Kanger Protank IS a clearo, regardless of how some sellers may improperly classify it. A bottom coil glass clearo is what it is. Yes, blackened ends on the wick is what I've seen with those coil/wick units that became incapable of delivering good hits. I don't know what Ice is, but I suspect it's similar in both taste and effect to the heavy menthol that my personal taste requires in any joose. I'll definitely let y'all know if the single Evod coil I bought lasts any longer than the coils made specifically for the Protank.

Well..color me stupid! (please don't) Had a happy accident this morning. Put the beauty ring from the ProTank on my MVP narrow side down. And have discovered I can adjust the draw on my DCTs by loosening or tightening it. The difference is amazing and I'm not having to hit it as often for nic fix. Now to work on the VERY airy draw on the ProTank......

Molli; you say "narrow side down". I can't figure out how you'd use the support/air reduction collar any other way. I find that the collar DOES reduce airflow when used with the Protank.

It screws on to the MVP either way..narrow side down or up. And its not reducing on MY ProTank....could be user error though, I'm known for that.

I sort of like the "airy" draw" on the KPT. I have Vision Vivi Nova 3.5 clearos as well as Kanger T2's and 3's and the difference in the draw on all 3 types is very noticeable. I prefer the KPT because of the draw. I mixed up some 60/40 coconut/banana juice and it's just a smooth, effortless draw to get a great taste and a room full of vapor.

I have The Flavor Apprentice Banana Nut Bread. I presume that's exactly the same thing as The Perfume Apprentice Banana Nut Bread. I like it a lot. I've only used 5 drops of it so far, to liven up a couple ml of other juice. The taste, to me, was spot on.

On an Ego battery, the collar greatly reduces the amount of air you take in with the ProTank. Just make sure the bottom of the tank is snug against the collar. A gap between them will defeat the effectiveness. The difference is HUGE. I don't believe it's possible to put the collar on an Ego with the wide side down because the Ego button gets in the way.

Moishe I really like the new controller. It looks like the button is flush but in reality it does stick out a little bit - perfect IMO and I'm a big fan of the large protruding button, so i was surprised by how much I like this one. Easy to find by feel, and very comfortable in all day use. :)

Kat - I want to thank you for spending my money very wisely. I received the new control top today & LOVE IT! :) So much so, that it's YOUR fault (again) that I just ordered 2 more. Thanks again....;)

Thanks for letting me know Dave! I probably used too much. And yes, Perfumers Apprentice & Flavor Apprentice, same company. :)

I must agree that Kat is very good at recommending things for us to spend money on. I've been very happy with her input. :D

Lots of flooding around here today. Off to the library to get Mom more books. Catch ya all laterz.

I'm 58 , smoked for 43 yrs. Stopped on 2/11 with an E Cigalike from a local Drug Store, my wife also. After spending tons on going back buying prefilled cartos decided to research this on the internet and was amazed at all the E Cig stuff out there!! Its mind boggling!

Then got into buying my own juice from Mt Baker Vapor, filling cartos...now on an EGO filling mini viva tanks....so movin on up as they say!
