<Iffy, don't do it! Really, post in da other thread... PLEASE!>

Your proctologist must appreciate your consideration!

Actually, I haven't purchased a bottom button PV due to my preference for top/upper button activations.

Howdy good folks! Hope being 57 "qualifies" me for this "old folks" thread. :)

I am SO glad I re-discovered this site! (and still remembered my password for it)... gonna need the moral support.

My e-cig bio: (hopefully, the short version)--

I'm married (22 yrs.) to a good woman, two kids, self-employed computer tech... been smoking a pack-a-day of M'bro reds since my teens. I "discovered" e-cigs in '09 and my first purchase was a DSE901 starter kit from e-smokeytreats... joined here shortly after. I totally quit the analogs from the first day my kit came in the mail, seemingly without even trying. That lasted about 6-8 months before I got tired of constantly fiddling with cart fillers, leaks, weak hits, 4+ batts per day, etc. etc. etc. Moved up to a 510 kit and that was better, at least I could get a good TH and some decent vapor, but I eventually tired of constantly fiddling with it too. So after less than a year, went back to the "stinkies" as y'all call 'em now. Just got fed up with the unreliability of the off-the-shelf e-cigs of the day, and didn't really want to get into Mods (actually, still don't... I have plenty of hobbies already).

I bought my first e-cigs mostly out of curiosity... because I'm an inveterate tinkerer and gadget freak. Quitting smoking was actually not the initial goal, almost a side-effect, so I wasn't really serious about it. This time around however, I'm dead serious about quitting the nasty things!

After a few days of research, on April 24th I called e-smokey and Rich recommended their JuiceMate kit... an eGo-T 650mAh batt with a basically disposable clearomizer, but I'm still using the one that came with the kit. Again, from the day it arrived (almost) every time I had a nic-craving I hit it instead of lighting up an analog... I've smoked less than 10 stinkies since, and haven't had one all this week. :D

With this JuiceMate system, I've had very few of the old issues... it's easy to fill, no leaks, consistently good hits, and a fresh batt will last me all the workday. Will soon order in some extra batts. and a good supply of the clearomizers.

Now, I'm on the search for a good everyday juice that tastes as much like a M'bro as possible. Wish me luck!

OK, so it wasn't so short... ;)

disclaimer: I have no affiliation with e-smokey. They're just good people and I have no problem saying so.

Nice that you came back to the world of vaping. Most of us here like reliable devices that don't need fussing unless we actually want to fuss. I don't believe there is one "best" device to get - whatever makes you happy and helps you to not need the stinkies is a good thing. The nice thing about being here is that we can pretty much find someone (s) who has tried whatever new devices out there and let us know what they think pretty quick - good, bad or ugly.

I don't know what to tell you about finding a juice that tastes like a M'bro red. There's a lot of juices that make tobacco claims, but you just have to try them. Also, our tastes tend to change after our bodies recover from all the stuff in the analogs so what you find works now might suddenly taste awful to you one day. Don't be afraid to try small bottles of different kinds of juices like fruits or bakery or drink flavors because you might be surprised to find a few that you like. Personally, I was shocked that after smoking for almost 50 years I don't like the tobacco flavors at all! You'd think they would be my first choice, but found that I prefer the fruit flavors. Go figure.

It was not too hard. First I removed the four rubber stoppers found at each corner on the back plate. This exposes four small Phillips head screws which I removed next. The plates separate once these steps are complete. The battery is sticky on one side to keep it attached to the front plate. A piece of black foam attached to the back plate helps keep the battery in place too, but it does not need to be removed. Four small screws attach the circuit board to the front plate above the battery. Once these are removed the circuit board can be positioned to the right to allow access to the remaining two screws holding the 510 threaded connector in place. The Groove is completely disassembled at this point but the wiring remains connected.

Thanks that was good info. I didn't realize those were rubber stoppers. Hopefully I won't have to take it apart. Does it look like it would be easy to replace the battery if it dies?

Welcome to the thread umanbean! I too quit in 2009 and my lungs are 1000% better now. I smoked three cigarettes after getting my first 801. I now have a three years accumulation of just about every device carto and atty they've made. lol But it has been fun trying out the new devices as they come out. The prices are much lower now than they were when I first started vaping.

Good morning good people.

Thanks for the warm welcome. After reading the first three and last 5 pages of this thread, I would have expected no less. :)

After my first order (y'know... way back last week :D) I told myself "no tinkering"! I just wanted to stick with one reliable no-fuss device and find one juice I liked... weeellll... I know now that ain't gonna happen. I ordered some more clearos and batts yesterday and couldn't resist. Also ordered some plain VG in 0 and 36mg nic, some plain PG in 0 and 36mg nic, and some RY4 essence... will get some other essence and flavorings later. Let the "tinkering" commence!

Janet H... I'm beginning to know what you mean about changing tastes. Yesterday, I was delivering a computer I repaired to a sweet little elderly lady who lives way out in the country. Driving slowly along a lonesome country road, raining, listening to some good ol' classic rock, munching on some roasted peanuts; I realized they actually tasted differently than I remembered. So I can see how a (tobacco flavored) juice that I like now might not taste so good in a few weeks after my taste buds recover even more. Actually tho, I can hardly wait to start really tasting food again, my wife's a good cook!

Thanks again... y'all have a nice day now, y'hear...

That is one way that it works, quite a paradox. Teach us to value the sense of smell, while allowing us the motor habit nearly intact. Ain't it grand??!!

One time when I was an adolescent, there was a dead mouse somewhere. I sniffed around, and told Dad, "It is there!" and pointed, and there it was!!

Congratulations!! Myfreedomsmokes has a juice that is like a Marlboro Red from what I've read on the forums- hope you can find what you like without too much searching. You may want to consider a 1100-1300 mah Ego battery for a much longer use- a Spinner is also very beneficial to have. You found a great forum here- I do more reading and lurking around here than commenting, but its definitely a very kind and knowledgable group of people.

Hi y'all. Sticking my head in the door. I wonder if there are any other Reonauts in this forum? reosmods.com

I've been an on and off smoker for almost 45 years. Mostly off. But recently took it up again. Been vaping for 2 months and love it. I went through bottom feeders, top feeders and then on to dripping, which I love. But it's too messy for routine vaping. So I discovered Reos. And can't say enough good things about them.

Still searching for the "perfect" juice...and love the trial and error!

disclaimer: I am not an employee of reos mods, nor do I play one on TV.

Hello Fleece - best wishes that vapin' will end your on/off affair with smokes. I've tried many different juice 'gizmos' but have never tried bottom feeders. I was a confirmed dripper for many months but it was too tricky to text / drip and drive so I finally moved away from it.
