Older Folks and Vaping

Question .. I decided to try a clearomizer .. eGo CE5 2.1 Ohm .. on an eGo 1100mah .. I filled it as suggested, let it sit for a while, twirled it .. yet I am getting a hint of burnt taste ..

Thoughts .. ?? Tips .. ??

I seem to get that hint of burnt in every top coil clearo I have tried. Right now I am using a T3 bottom coil with my spinner set at 4.3 and no burnt taste at all. I have just started using my evods and I think I have found something that will replace my muchly enjoyable little CE3 XL's. I just don't think the top coil units are for me.

I like the evods so much that I just placed an order for 12 of them from fasttech.

Hopefully someone will come along that can help you more than I could.

I think I'd agree with the too hot post from Omg. I usually vape at 3.7 on my Twist with 2.4 ohm vivi nova heads and will get a burnt taste if I go much higher. Pulsing might be something to try as well, but I'd try adjusting the volts if you can. Geeze, I sound like I know what I'm talking about - totally ignore this post if it doesn't work.

{{{Willie}}}...I'm assuming you got the rebuildable with replaceable heads? Did you get any heads with higher ohms? If you don't have vv or vw...a head with higher ohms should help. Also...what juice you're using will also make a difference....some can take higher temps than others before tasting burnt. Fruits are usually the ones that can't take it.

I see Kanger is coming out with a couple of new Clearos, a mini Protank and a T4. The T4 will have the option of using different 510 driptips. I've gone almost solely with the Protank but will probably try these when they hit the market.

I dialed it down some but I can still taste a very light burnt flavor .. I don't know what pulsing is .. and you sound like you know what you're talking about because you do .. I mean you live with Mike, the Mad Scientist ..

And I LOVE the colors. I bought their pack of 10-each a different color and threw 2 additional black ones in the mix. I couldn't pass them up @ $2.68 each. I love a good deal. I will share some of them with my sisters since I really don't need that many of them.

I think I may be in that same boat ... I'm not one for experimentation beyond what already works for me .. so, I'm back to my carto/tank combo ..

DIY TFA Hazelnut with a bit of EM has become my favorite juice right now. It seems to taste the best in my evod although it was really good in my T3 too. Strange how the flavor is different in different juice delivery devices.

The Kanger ProTank was da closest to my desired clearo vape (minus da light draw).

As I've said many times before and most likely will again, I HATE dry/burnt tasting hits! Da only times I've had such wid a carto tank was when I inadvertently bumped up da voltage/wattage too high; immediate carto toss upon discovery.


BTW, just received my two pre-ordered Sigelei Kick clones from White Stag Vapor. Hopefully I'll have a review by Sunday.

@Willie re: CE5... I had the same experience w/ a CE5 "clone", just thought it was maybe because it was a "clone" tho... I had it on a VV/VW and no matter what V or W I tried, it still tasted like crop. BTW, the juice was 5ml unflavored 50/50 w/ 3 drops vanilla.

1) Is there a decent-performing top-fill clearo/tank/something/anything out there that I could top off during the day without having to up-end it and take out a juice-saturated part with no place to set it, and end up getting juice all over my fingers sitting in my van in a clients parking lot at 2pm? Don't get me wrong, I love the evod for TH, vapor, flavor, etc., but it is truly a PITA to fill on the go... takes three hands, and wet paper towels, too. Guess I just need to order a bunch and fill 3-4-5 every morning...

2) What is the best/least expensive/least fiddle-ey Dripper (or any kind of "atomizer" that holds small quantities) for taste-testing e-juice? I'd like to make small batches of DIY and taste before I commit to an evod or t3 full of it.

Just when I was having a really awful day...thinking how I'd been ripped by a web vendor without much recourse,
and overwhelmed with work..I reread this inspiring post!
It warmed my heart...It struck a chord, I too am so glad Im vaping and not smoking.
It drives home the idea that finally after years of trying- I did sucessfully get completely off the analogs.
