I ordered me the new 1.5 Lava that will read the resistance of the carto like the Provari does plus has higher wattage rating than version 1. It should be here today or tomorrow.:2cool: There is only one vendor in the States selling them right now that I know of and that is Penny at Variable Voltage 1.5 Mod - Penny 's Store

I need pics Tex. I purchased a VV kit from Vapornine got it yesterday and so far does as promised. This one is the old style 2.5 amps but haven't experienced any sort of failure yet. I will want one like yours soon. I like the idea of reading the resistance don't know why but like the idea. Congrats!

I need to stop buying vape stuff :( My credit card bills are outrageous.

This is the reason why since I don't normally have one, I have limitations...but I got the ex to let me use one as long as I pay it back - and I only spent $192 and it was for things like attys, carts, cartos, another Lea - just in case - and a tank system for my Leas. Plus my juice buys which should last me a good 5 months unless I get a craving for something, lol!

Btw - wasn't it stacked batteries that got that guy's face blown off in FL?? I get chills whenever I hear people mention stacking now!

The 1.5 looks exactly like the original version only it shows the resistance and the voltage each time you hit the fire button. They are coming out with a chrome that has an ego type connection that is probably worth waiting for being as it should be hitting the states shortly. Here is a utube video of it. I really like the flexable pin that will eliminate the problems with the different length pins on some cartos.

The latest one in the news was a little bitty Njoy from WallMart.

Guess this kinda alters the stacked batteries thing.

Also don't stack batteries with a Kick, it is a booster. The main reason I put the Kick in my mod was for the protection ckts which reduce the chances of a problem.

I was looking at the Buzz Pro vs Provari, but it really was the stacked battery thing that pushed me to Provari. I liked the wheel that the Buzz uses for changing settings, but the stacked battery thing kind of messed with my mind. I read all the stuff, and actually think the Buzz has all the safety features to accomodate the stacking, but just couldn't bring myself to do it.

BTW....I ordered the Provari V2 a few minutes ago. Also ordered a mini-sub tank from Mom and Pop. The credit card is getting put away now...LOL. I was debating between the V2 and Mini. What finally pushed me over the edge was reading a blog that pointed out that most people buy the extender for the mini to be able to use the bigger battery...which effectively turns it into a V2.

Nice thing about the Kick is I don't even care what resistance the atty is. I just slap it on and the PV self adjusts the voltage automatically.

I bought a Kick but it wouldn't fit properly with my Indulgence being as the tube is a little bigger in diameter than the kick. I was able to get it to work with a shim but it was too much hassle taking it out to adjust it. If they come out with a better grounding spring and a way to change the setting without taking it out I will buy another one. I sold it on the classies for what I paid for it within 2 minutes after posting though being as they are hard to get.:2cool:

I have an Inferno 900mAh PT battery that gets pretty warm while charging....it gets charged in a paint can situated within a clear radius of 10' in the garage. I almost trust it now after 5 or 6 cycles without incident but Norma will be leaving that one behind during her trip back to Indiana. Note that Inferno batteries are "tweaked" to 3.7V and they give a lot of life to 510 3.3V stuff.

Boy if that is true it sure will bring some bad publicity for ecig's. They will probably start banning them on airplanes and other places. It is hard to believe though that a regular njoy exploded like that. It sounds like someone wanting to get a big settlement from Walmart and they will if it is true.

Ya I saw that about the Indulgence. In my Silver Bullet the Kick sets in the extension, and I never need to touch it. I change bats without ever messing with the kick. It's set at 7.5watts, and there it stays. If I ever wanted to change the wattage I can do so without removing it from the extension.

Really all pretty basic stuff. The one thing that I would point out is that, like most, I only have one sweet spot, but I can find that sweet spot with about any PV that you want to name. It's just a matter of finding which atty/carto and juice formula works on any given PV.

    Hi all,
Smoked most of my adult life. Started vaping last July and haven't had an analog (Marlboro Reds) since. I turned 60 last October. Since I quit analogs my lungs are much clearer and my stamina has returned. I am lucky enough to have a pool and do 40 lengths a day.
Love the ECF, try to contribute when I can and have met some great vapers. Subscribe to GrimmGreen reviews and Pbusardo with his golf cart reviews. I also identify highly Michael, aka cozconn.
I started on a kr-808 kit but now vape with a KGO and Silver Bullet. Saving up for a Provari and a Kick (if they ever get back in stock). I gave my kr808 kit to a friend who has also stopped smoking because of it. I feel good about that. Keep on vaping!

Well crap, that's gonna be bad for a lot of people, especially people who were thinking about trying an e-cig but hadn't done it yet. It was one thing when the stacked mod blew up, but this was straight out of the retail packaging! At least Njoy said they'd had reports, and were aware of a few bad batteries - they don't seem to be hiding anything and they do want it back to see what the hell happened. This could scare people away from even trying one, however, especially for the people that only use the store-boughts like njoy, Infiniti, Blu, Mistic. People may be afraid to try one and that's just plain bad in itself because we all know the benefits of e-cigs, but newer or casual users may be scared off of them :( In the beginning, when I was trying to figure out if I could quit with the e-cig, I tried all of them except the Njoy because it was so expensive here (tobacco store only, $100 + for the setup...uh pass) so I just stuck with the $13 mistic 5 carto refills until I got my first joye510. I've never actually seen a OneJoy before - my walmart only carries the Mistic set-ups, and the ciggie store just has the expensive start-up set. The only good thing here is that she wasn't hurt worse than she was, and it's an improbability that it will happen again (not an impossibility, but close).

Boy if that is true it sure will bring some bad publicity for ecig's. They will probably start banning them on airplanes and other places. It is hard to believe though that a regular njoy exploded like that. It sounds like someone wanting to get a big settlement from Walmart and they will if it is true.

Ditto - exactly what I was wondering myself until I watched the news video where she says it happened as she was removing it from packaging. Thankfully she wasn't harmed badly and seems to just have a slightly bruised eye, but she had a valid point - what if she'd already gotten it to her mouth *sigh* If it wasn't a "bad battery" like Njoy is admitting they've had a few of, it could have been improper shipping or storage precautions on behalf of Walmart (ie temperature fluctuations during the trips from Njoy to Walmart warehouses, non-temp controlled warehouses and semis that delivered them). There are so many possibilities. I still think if any reparations are paid, it'll be directly from Njoy - especially since the news cameras were rolling as she talked to customer service on the phone.

I was looking at the Buzz Pro vs Provari, but it really was the stacked battery thing that pushed me to Provari. I liked the wheel that the Buzz uses for changing settings, but the stacked battery thing kind of messed with my mind. Glad I wasn't the only one freaked out by the stacking thing!

Love the storage set-up - I'll have to hit officemax and see if they have anything on sale/clearance like they always do with desk stuff - hadn't realized just how well a little desk caddy could be!

Welcome dberkham and tj99959 (I think? I have the worst memory!) db - I quit 2/5 this year, I'd made a promise to myself to be off analogs by my 40th birthday (yes, I'm the baby here) on Oct. 1st and beat my deadline by almost 8 months!

The biggest and best thing I've noticed in the last couple of days as we've been picking out songs for our wedding (whenever we get around to it), is that my singing voice is getting higher and clearer and my lung capacity is much greater (I'll thank swimming for that along with the quitting). I'm classified as a Contralto/Mezzo Soprano with a 4 octave range and it was killing me that I couldn't hit the high mezzo note (A5) anymore (which is the 2nd A past middle C for all you non-vocal range folk!). My range is currently, E2 (2 E's below Middle C) to currently E5 (2 E's above middle C). I used to be a full soprano (hitting the super high C) that makes me Bass to Contralto, but I'm determined to get at least back up to F5 (just 2 more notes cause the black keys count, lol!) and actually regain my MS status.

I hadn't been able to sing above A4 (the first A past middle C) for over 10 years now. I've gained back 7 notes in 3 months. I don't expect that I'll ever get back to full Soprano *ever* without attracting every stray male cat in the neighborhood, lol!

Doing laps does SO much to help your body in ways you never realize - like helping you hold notes longer and clearer! Thank you indoor swimming pool at mom & dad's retirement community!

You'll find this a very welcoming group of folks here so kick back and have some fun! If you're really brave, attempt to read at least the last 50 or so pages - we go through 2-10 pages a day here so 50 pages is probably about 2 weeks back - the thread only started mid Feb!

tj - again, welcome in case you are new to the thread and a big hi :) if you aren't. I really do have the worst memory on earth, massive amounts of CRS, lol - must be part of why I get to be here ;)

  BLUESMAN COME BACK - WE NEED YOU
