I still love the Visions... Once I got in the habit of washing them out once a day or so after running 100% VG through them, the continue to work for me.

I definitely think that the juice composition has a LOT to do with the performance you'll get out of any atty/carto hardware.

I remember back when I first started vaping on a 510 atty / stick style battery and trying to drip some thick chocolate coconut juice through one. It tasted GREAT for the first couple hits, drip drip drip.. GAH!! Those old attys were so cranky with dark, sweet juices I used to burn through them like mad.

I've been through all sorts of cartos, did my time (a couple weeks) trying to get the various eGo tank systems to work but got angry and fed up and went back to attys (until I tried DC cartos).. still no long term affair there.

The Visions and Fluxies have been pretty consistant for me. If you haven't tried them, definitely pick up a few and give them a test vape. They don't last forever (nothing does), takes a bit of practice to get the "dry burn" down without popping the coil, but once you "get it" you're golden!

I do think I could have a "bad" Vornado.. tapping, shaking, letting it rest, still gives burnt wick every few vapes - but I know darn well that it could be any number of things causing that - and I'm not one to take out my fussyness on the vendor. I know that GV tests the bejeezus out of their products, and they're nothing but helpful here on the forums. So yeah.. if the Vornado doesn't work out for me, I'm definitely going to pick up some of the Stardust when they're back in stock, and maybe try a stone tank as well. :)

Visions are easy to clean?

Yes, but you don't take them apart like you do the Fluxomizers.

I run very hot distilled water through them. If you have a syringe, you can put some of the hot distilled water in a syringe and flush it down on top of the coil, and over the wicks. Let it soak in hot distilled water, 30 minutes or so, flush again with more hot water, then let them sit overnight. Then starts the dry burn cycle.

On the lowest wattage battery you have, you want to give it maybe 5 seconds at the most, very gently (there's at least one video on the GV web site on how to dry burn fluxomizers... same thing except you don't take 'em apart).

Eventually, you want to get to the point where you can see the white of the wicking around the dark coils. Then refill and you're good to go.

The difference between the Visions and Fluxomizers is that the plastic tubing on the Visions is glued down around the base. I ended up cracking the tubing on one of my Visions by mistake trying to take it apart (so now I don't) :)

(and as far as the Pats are concerned... heh.. I'm originally from Chicago. My home team will always be DA Bearz... even when they suck ;) I've been in Boston more than 10 years and the whole Patriots fan thing just never took..)

*Update on Vornado setup*

Hi Guys again. On the third day of vaping with the vornado's on the passthrough and I gotta say, I really love 'em!! No leaking problems other than the occasional blowing out the carto due to gurgling and then wiping clean with some kleenex. Really clean vape from these vornado's. My go to vape is now the blackberry champagne 18mg 80vg/20pg. Flavor, throat hit and vapor are excellent.

Mouthpiece. I also get the whistling but it doesn't bother me at all. I like the size and shape of the vornado...feels really comfy on my lips and really easy to draw.

Vapor is slightly warm and full of flavor. Tried 100% vg amarreto in it and it took just a few hits and letting it "steep" just a bit and it hits nicely at 3.7 volts.

usb passthrough - I LOVE IT! it's small and easy to transport. I can even place it in a cupholder when driving so that it stays upright. Inner cabin of my tundra (crew cab at that) gets FILLED with vapor...lol...like cheech and chong! As I stated in my previous post, my hardware consisted of the V2 product, extra long battery 4.2 volts and passthrough at 5.1 volts. The USB allowed me to experiment at the lower voltages (for the first time) and I'm loving it. For me, 3.7 volts (middle setting) is magic. I cannot WAIT to try the stardust on this.

I have some other juices coming in from vaporbomb to try. I'll have to try them out on a vortex before I "commit" to using a juice in one of my remaining vornado's...at least until we get a video or write up on how to clean one the vornado without damaging them. I'm very, very pleased with this purchase.

I have other juices but I just don't enjoy them enough to commit a vornado cart to it!!

**Update**
The "extra" one I got leaked...bummed but it still works. Figure I'll try other juices in it since it leaks but still works. Vape it dry (well, almost) and then put in a different liquid. This one will also be my trial and error one when I go about discovering how to clean it!

I got my Cyclone kit today. Placed the Stardust on the VV, and rocked it out at the highest setting. I was correct in my review, these things cry out for a VV. As for the Cyclone, I like them, but they aren't for me. I can see where people will love them though. The VV PT is as good as I expected.

I am going to play with the Cyclone for a couple of days, and hope to get the video review started this week. I am hoping that after it breaks in a bit, that it may be something that will stay in my arsenal.

Were do you blow them out? I got mine today, and they both leak. The toggle is very cool tho. You can NOT use it on the USB connection that u use for charging (in the wall). Don't know why. All it does is blink when u connect a carto or tank to it. Also, getting a burnt taste in one of them. I'm going to play a little before I give an honest opinion .

The dongle? Yeah, it needs a higher amperage wall to usb converter than say, a standard ego battery charger. My cell phone wall wart works fine though, as does my four usb thingy.

Run out of TP? :p

Huh? Well it is more like wall cancer than wall wart.

But it will run my cell phone, my dongle, and charge two egos all st the same time.

Okay, I know why one of them was leaking and failing. Looks like there is a "weak point" with the vornado's and I think what exaserbates (sp?) it is overtightening, though the unit I had, I definitely did not overtighten it. It was like this out of the packaging...I say that it seems to be a weak point because it is starting to happen on another one of my vornado's...which I take great care in not overtightening, so I don't know what I'm doing that might be causing it. In this pic, you'll see that the internal "tube" is mis-aligned...piece that was holding it in place broke off:

You can see the difference with a brand new one:

I also decided since it was no longer functioning, to take it apart...These are different in that you don't need to put it on your battery to "wiggle" the cover off. There are two notches on either side of on the bottom. I used a small flat head to "pry" it loose. The part that comes loose is the clear ring. Remove that, the rest comes out fairly easily. I didn't take pics of the disassembled unit (I should have) and will probably edit this post with those pics. Sorry for no video...I guess I'm one of those that still do not have a web cam!

Fairly easy to put back together, except in this case, it wouldn't work cause the plastic at the top is broken. The clear one that I took a pic of above is starting to fail at the top also..I can see it kind of bulging to the side but it's still working...here's a pic of it:

Outstanding investigation ! This is exactly what is going on with mine. They are off center. The one that taste burnt, the center tube looks all whacked compared to the other one. Wish I could take a pic. Maybe tonight I will try with my phone. It has really good vapor tho....nice warm hits. Sure are easy to fill. Love this dongle. Worth the money in itself!!!

i also am getting nothing but dry hits with these. i am little bit surprised that gotvapes tested these out and figured they are ready for prime time.

these might work with very very watery type of juice, in order for it to wick properly. maybe thats what they were tested on? i threw both of mine away (one of them still in a wrapper)
