they where tested and i do apologize your having that issue, they where also tested with 60/40, we truly arent getting widespread complaints, a few had them leak, a few had dry spots but not many, same amount as people as normal issues when compared to how many have been sold to customers and affilates.

believe me if certain problems are so widespread we will pull the plug on an item, we dont have the time to deal with items that are that bad, and that hasnt happened with the cyclone yet.

Thanks badkolo...just fyi, I wasn't complaining. I actually really like the vornado's. I was wanting to provide some constructive feedback with where I found a weak point in the design so that if you wanted, you could feed that back to the manufacturer. Seems like a fairly simple fix to re-enforce the top section.

As Bad has said lately, these new systems need a "break-in" period. At first, I was getting a burnt taste, but after 2 fills, they're doing great! Only problem I'm having is that the skirt is a little too long for units other than the dongle. Using a extender makes the draw too airy for me. But I'm loving them, especially the 3 ml size.

BTW, I thought I read a post that said the Stardust might be potentially be made in a larger size...really?? I'm in!!

Besides the leak issue, the one that I can use is really hitting nicely. O very nice warm vapor and a mellow thought hit. I like them. I'm useing the flux Carmel apple.....Yum! I am bummed big time and I hope someone can help me, but I so love the dongle, but it won't work on my car adaptor or my wall charger I use for my ego batteries. So bummed about the car adaptor. Any suggestions?

Mspinner, I don't know if it'll help, but I used the dongle in my car using a 5V 2A usb adaptor and it works fine. I tried in on an older 5V 1A usb adaptor and it wouldn't fire at all. Don't know if the adaptor was good or not, like I said, it was old. The only difference between the two that I could see was that one was 1Amps and the other was 2Amps.

I don't know how I could work through 2 fills. Both the cyclones I received worked great for about 5 hits when first filled then nothing but burnt wick. I assume my 100% VG may be the problem but who knows. I've never had this problem with a clearo or vision so I was kind surprised.

Hey Bad any chance of a break on my next Stardust order, these are useless.

I'm sorta torn about this... On one hand, I wish GV nothing but success, and I hate it when I don't like something. I'm what they call a "people pleaser".

On the other hand, for me, these were... eh... not entirely successful. On the positive side, I liked the vapor and the taste, that's all good. On the negative side, one came DOA (not gonna send it in, too hard for me to get to the post office), and the other two leaked bad enough to be unusable, unfortunately.

I looked, and the inner tubes are attached and not crooked, so that's not the issue. I believe you guys test them and everything, and I'm not complaining, I certainly love your other products.

I just figured you need to know for your reference.

For my part, if any improvement is done with these in the future, I'll try them again. But for now I'll stick with VEs and Stardusts.

But the dongle is fabulous! I'll get a 2A wallwart eventually, but for now I just have it plugged into my 'puter and use it all the time with all sorts of cartos.

I'm going to order a Stone II and some nano Visions and set the Vornados aside for another day. They're just not working out for me right now. Not sure why, maybe at some point someone will have an "ah HAH!" moment and figure out how to fix the dry burn thing.

Yeah, I can't even work through a full tank on the second one, the dry hits are too awful to just draw and blow out. Looking at the way it's manufactured, looks like there is a small gap between the inner tube where the coil sits, and the wicking on the outside where the juice hits. Only thing I can think of is that there could be some slight differences in manufacturing that make the wicking not allowing thicker juices to get through to the coil, maybe it's the VG percentage, could be anything, but as much as I really wanted to love these.. I'm a sad panda today.

As I said, gonna order a stone tank and some nanos.. I love the Visions :)

indeed the wicking is the issue for me. i dug up the used one from the garbage to see if i could make it work..and i was successful.

i took the whole thing apart and filed the 2 slots on the tube (that carries the vapor to your mouth) inside, little bit wider and higher. now it wicks properly and havent had a single dry hit. according to my findings, the slots on the inner tube are too narrow and slightly too low. they still seem a bit flimsy since i cant tighten it properly on my ipro but i think thats the pv'sfault and not the vornado.

no leaks at all but slightly muted flavor.

I did that with one of mine. It does make it a bit better. One thing I have noticed is how frail the tube is. It was easy to crack with a little pressure.

I like the idea but the vornado didn't do it for me. It looks nice. The inner tube seems to be the weak point with these. I didn't get to use mine for more than 10 min. It began to flood... a lot. I looked at it under a light and saw a small bubble pop out every few seconds. Very reminiscent of the vortex when that flooded. However it wasn't at the wicks, it was coming from half the distance between the two slots. The center tube had a crack up from the bottom. I'm not too bummed as the performance wasn't enough for me. I didn't really get to break it in so may have picked up a bit. Wicking seemed to be lacking for the short time i used it. May be great for some. This further turned me away from bottom coil designs. Never have had a good experience with them.
