It does wear off the shiny battery casing a little bit. My blue 3.0V batteries that I use in pairs in my Chuck is getting hard to read. But I've had them for 2 years (haven't used them often as 6V is too much for me but they do get handled when I move them around.)

I didn't get a full kit. Eric was out of them when I ordered my first v8. There are, apparently, a few ways of measuring mAh. In general, AW is known for using the most conservative method while other companies use the most optimistic ones. As a result, 700mAh AWs could, in the real world, last as long or longer than 900mAh generics.

I get a day and a half, sometimes two days out of my AWs.
I get about half a day -- chain vaper (at 6mg) here.

Thats so weird, maybe I dont vape as much as I think I do because I don't think I have ever had to change the batteries in my V8 before the day and a half mark. I just got my first DCT today and I am pretty stoked about it! Its smoke black and looks great on my V8! I have heard the dual coils kill your batteries faster, so we shall see I guess! Ok, question though. Can I put a single coil carto in my DCT? I was quite happy that my 70/30 pg/vg juice (Turtle Cheesecake from Vape Dudes) seems to be working quite well with the prepunched carto that came with the tank! I was a little worried because I have heard that pre punched cartos don't work well but mines doing great! :) :) :)

Happy for you Jeep! Are you still enjoying it?

Yes, very much so, DB, thanks. :)
I got a TTT gooseneck for it, so it pretty much lives in my shirt pocket (looks like I'm carrying around a microphone most of the time.) Now I just hope it survives the rigors of Burning Man. Course if it doesn't, I'll have an excuse to tear it apart for further modding and replacement.

Yes you can put a single coil carto in a dual coil tank. Do you have a punch? I like the carto punch I bought. Let us know how long the batteries last with the Dual Coil Tank.

One thing that bothers me is that the batteries are very close together -- touching. Isn't that a bad thing for heat production? Also, the little springs get smooshed down when I put the batteries in

Can't say anything about the springs as I don't own this one but it shouldn't be an issue. As far as the batteries touching that's no big deal, they have insulation/shrink wrap on them to keep from shorting. If that tears where there is a possibility of metal against metal that would be an issue but if the insulation is fine, no problem.

They shouldn't heat up unless they are being stressed and that's unlikely running 2 18350s in series for our use. The regulator might heat up a little and that's normal but I've never had a battery heat up.

I use a stiff business card like a shoe horn when I put the batteries in. Compress the springs down to a little coil and they just pop right it.

This'll be my 4th, and my first year as a Ranger (hopefully.) My avatar pic is from last year, on our way out to see the Temple burn.
