Thanks for the comments on low Ohms. The failure of my v8 gives no error signals, just a continuous 8 volt reading.
Ah, that's sad Cool. I hope someone here knows what the problem is.
...good news!
I opened the V8 up and found the wire to the body of the connector had come lose. Apparently it was making contact enough to be able to be picked up by an external volt meter, but not enough to conduct current.
Problem solved with a soldering gun.
That looks like the original version, but for $17, it's still a bargain!VaporBreak - Has someone verified if the Ovale V8s from VB are Ohm Displaying or not? ...actually have one?
Does someone know a for sure source for the Ohm Displaying model?

Yes, original, I think...no Black seems to be available. I couldn't find the shipping cost without registering, it seemed.
I looked at the manufacture's site and they offer only minimum of 10 or 50 sets. Some of their text is confused with references to other models.
Is our favored V8 really dead and nearly gone?
I hope not, too. Although I only use mine for selective circumstances, I'd like to be able to suggest it to vapors looking for a portable, light-weight, V-V mod that is inexpensive. I have a hard time recommending it's closest competitor, the Smoktech V-V Gripper. Is our favored V8 really dead and nearly gone?
