How many times have you been bitten?

That cinnamon snake is a splendid beast.

T

Not too many times. Babies are the bitiest , because to them, you are a huge heat emitting predator. Warning strikes are nothing. Cat scratches are worse. Feeding strikes are annoying because you have to wait for them to figure out they made a mistake.

Although your snakes are beautiful, I've 2 theories about snakes:

1. All snakes are poisonous.
2. They will kill you on sight.

Had always worked for me :)

No snakes are poisonous. Poison is injested . :) Some snakes are venomous though.

Ditto, I have been taught from an early age to fear snakes =] Something called a bull whip snake chased my Gran through the back fields and as she ran, he whipped his tail at her legs while she gave him a 'shower' XD I have personally been stalked/chased from my beautiful study spot at the bank of our creek by water moccasins. Why they came up out of the water striking out at me I do not know, but I always thought either it was rabid or had babies just to give the snake a chance at honor :p

The cinnamon one is absolutely gorgeous, and it looks kind, but any reptile that chases me these days will have to be killed. I am far too old and rotund to outrun them now :p

I stand corrected...

1. All snakes are venomous...etc.

:)

Right, right =]

Here are a few of them:

This is a blade clown I produced this year:

and one from last year:

My albino

Cinnamon:

Enchi Pin Pied het Bengal (this is the one that we produced the first ever in the world of)

Pastel Orange Ghost

Lesser Orange Ghost

Those are absolutely gorgeous!!! I envy you. I loved mine but being a trucker whose company doesn't allow pets means I can't get another till I retire. Those are stunning though.

i'm with Akdare. all snakes are deadly in more ways than one.

when i was in junior high school i had to walk past the house of my first big crush. she always managed to be in her front yard when i came by (i think she kinda liked me, too), and we'd have a nice chat that made my blood boil. one day the teacher told me to take one of the school's snakes home for school break. got to her house, she screamed and ran inside. (it was a freakin king snake, for godsake)

4 years of high school after that and not once did she ever look me in the eye.

bumped into her at a movie theater and she was with her apparently reptile-fearing hubby. first thing outta her mouth was "hi D, you still like snakes?"

On the positive side, you've never had to make alimony payments to her!

One time I was at after school day care and a girl was standing there talking so much and so fast no one could call attention to the huge rat snake going up her leg. All the girls were frozen in horror. Finally I said "Excuse me..." grabbed the head of the snake and unwound it from her leg. It coiled up around both my arms under my jacket for warmth as it was early spring and was quite happy. No one would talk to me after that, I was known as "the crazy snake girl."

I've always loved snakes.
