Well, the thought of converting the Stratus Dripper to BF got the best of me.
Need to shorten the center post a bit and drill the juice hole, but the daughter and dog are asleep so using power tools is out of the question.
BTW, the Reo 510 center post has an M0.25X.075 thread which is nigh on impossible to find a tap or die or anything but basic hardware for.
But if you file it just a smidge you can (slowly bit by bit backing up every 1/8th to 1/4 turn) tap it to #2-56 since the TPI is virtually the same and #2 is just a smidge less than M.25.
If anyone cares, file that away in your memory bank.
(Or you can find it here like I will since that is the reason I mention it) :p

Hey liquid metal man, I am now getting more than 24 hours of vaping since I got some cycles on these SX30's and dropped one loop on my coils! :toast:
I don't know that I am going to have to carry a spare battery, little lone a charger.
Ordered a couple more.
Thanks again for being so boisterous about them.

Not using the sx30's but got to thinking about this.... My aw imr 1600's supposedly have one of the longest run times at a good voltage before the drop off. So dropped a loop myself last night ( had to recoil anyway after my last go at xc132- does anyone else get all scratchy throated?) anywho, going to rock the 1 ohm ( finally ) and report back on it's staying power, whether it goes the distance or gets weak and limp by the end of the day ( 8 pm, functional day, no access to supplies)

Is anyone using the Sony VTC4? What kind of life are you getting out of those if so? I have a pair that are performing well and was thinking of ordering a couple more, however, if there is anecdotal evidence that they have had issues or a better experience with say the SX30s I'd like to hear it...

It wouldn't surprise me if the SX30's were simply the Sony VCT4 with Orbtronic label considering Orbtronic doesn't make batteries, just saying

Yea, I went to the orbtronics site after I posted that, and I think I agree with you... That they just put a button top (which I didn't want) and a new wrapper on... But what? I have the SX22 which I use in my Poldiac clone... which are rewrapped something? Samsungs? Not sure, perhaps someone with greater knowledge will chime in... but for now those Sonys' are rockin! The price of the VCT4s seem to have gone through the roof I got a pair about 3 weeks ago for under $19 shipped and now the same vendor wants $25 ea. WTH? Although I did find them cheaper $26 shipped for 2 not too bad... Some vendors on ebay are charging $50 ea.? Crazy? What happened?

aw1600 is like a rock to me, it starts off and finishes pretty consistent. no fireworks, no annoying voltage swings. sony vtc4 start off hot (fireworks) and taper down fairly quick. i can work around it but its like "whoa" with a fresh battery haha. i get about the same life out of the aw1600 and the vtc4, about 2 days rotating 3 mods. give an edge to the sony on life because it will last longer but the voltage drops too much. think i was expecting more out of the sony's the way the sub-ohmers talk about them. currently prefer the aw1600 because its more consistent.

usually use sony vtc4 in poldiac/gemini, aw1600 in the reo grand, and aw1100 in the reo mini. what can i say, i like choices in flavor town.

sorry no experience with sx30s but it sounds like they preform much like the sony's.

Organizing my vaping life... it is so, so nice to have everything in one unified place... not quite as much storage space as it looks but not bad... what have others done to organize? Stuff gets out of hand rather quickly as we jet across the landscape seeking our perfect setups... lol. I thought that I would provide a slight diversion while waiting for more "OliveR by pdib" progress pics... lol. And one group closer to mine...

It's my experience that the Samsung INR 18650 20R 2000mAh perform very similar to the Aw 1600s, only longer. I get ~ 24hrs, changing batts once a day for months now. [0.4-0.5 ohm) The curve is very vape friendly. The initial peak isn't too intense and is short lived (really mild, actually). After that, it's smooth sailing for the 24. The drop at the end is noticeable but vapeable (still a serviceable vape if you can't swap right away).

M.o.N. : generally speaking, lower res. will just burn thru batts faster. When I was going down the res.slope, tho, I found that I was satisfied sooner, vaped less, and the batts ended up lasting just as long by consequence.

gad… i'm charging 3 to 5 1600's a day (on 5 or 6 devices)… i use 3mg nic (0.4 to 0.6) and i figure i'm vaping too much juice (<--- glutton) but high nic gives me hot flashes (along with the od)

but fwiw some setups at low res are best after the initial peak and you can take shorter hits until then…

I need one of those, that is an awesome storage box! hmmm maybe get organized before my OliveR comes home... someday... soon I hope... perhaps in a couple months... haha

Harbor Freight... Get on their mailing list and you can save 15-20% off the already insanely low price that they charge for this thing... Not totally sure of the base wood but it may be Bamboo... Not super rugged but I don't plan to move it much... I was using up 1/4 of our island in the kitchen prior to this and I could sense that my "HRH" was getting close to self destruct mode (what a trooper)... lol. She does not vape. Never smoked either. She is in some ways much smarter than I. In others not so much...
