OK VH, here's the thing . . . . . you too, SFM .. . . . this stuff is IMPOSSIBLE to photograph. (partly because it also required an unbelievable degree of finish work . . . . . I could proly get a job at Maserati now :p. I don't like this degree of glass myself; but yer blue wouldn't come through. It just kept looking like hazy scratches on black until I got to "glass". Serious, serious PITA)

Anyway, I had to come inside (out of the daylight), turn off the lights, and draw the shades to get any indication of what these actually look like on "fillum".

Here's the two outside shots that showed anything other than reflections. (SFM is always left, VH is always right)

that looks so sick. I would love those personally. that's happening because the resin it was stabilized with is heavily tinted, any cloudiness and it becomes opaque and you can't see through to the woodgrain, it's like a custom paint job on a car :)

That sound about right. I think the blue has something to do with it too. I had looked into dying wood blue, and it's really hard to do. It would take a lot of pigment and the blue pigments themselves seem to have more opacity than many of the other colors.

Nick, ol' fella. I haven't forgotten your pics. I'm just slow, it seems. I'll be taking pics for run#3 people for wood selection early next week, and I'll do your block then.

(likewise, Kaslik)

Awesome. Thank you, man. And again, no rush, I'm just as happy to see these beautiful products in their finished state. Love the look of this runs Walnut. :)

See that, Monkey? T-cad is from NY, and he hasn't once said, "oh where's my mod?" The epitome of patience is that turbo. He's not looking in some other ape's armpit. Nope.
