Just picked up an LG ICR18650HE2 from Illumination Supply for $10.49 shipped with coupon code "ISpower" to test out.

That's a good deal too!!! You'll probably get yours before I get mine... although the Coop already submitted payment, so MAYBE I'll have it in 10 days (goes to host then repackaged to me).

I'm curious how it works, and I read that too... 20a continuous... so is it better than the Samsung I already got?? Ohh... the Samsung is 2000 mAh and this is 20a at 2500 mAh... so it would work longer for everything:)?

Geez... when I think of how much $$ I've already spent for the Dibi... LOL!

the Samsung is 22A continuous. BTW: Glass, you said something earlier that I wanted to clarify. You mentioned that your battery (samsung) wasn't as good as your other one (PD?), that the samsung was recommended "for the dibi". It's not like that. The value of the Samsung is that it lasts a long while for a battery that has a high discharge rating. It's not best for the dibi, it's one of the best for superlow resistance vaping. (like 0.5Ω and below). When you're vaping above 1Ω-ish, it's a slightly different picture, and your "low-drain" high mAh battery may work just as well for you and last longer.

Mr. Dibbs, you Sir, have outdone yourself!!! :D

Just amazing!!!

Here's the before picture for reference:

RjzvHp3.jpg

It was listed as, blood red black willow. Stabilized, of course.

Uh... so did the person who sold the wood super saturate the pix... or did pdib underexpose the pix... or did the color fade that much as it got cut away (all color on surface)? It's UNBELIEVABLY beautiful as a mod... but it doesn't have anywhere near that vivid of a red...

Oh, I'm sorry if I made it sound like the dibi needs a different battery.... I understand the battery is best suited for sub-ohm. I just don't have any other sub-ohm mods, so all my sub-ohm optimal batteries are for the dibi:).

OK one more tonight. I'll be posting the others tomorrow.

This is Ambrosia Maple that Malkuth sent me. It is truly unique. I love this stuff! It's so warm, and friendly, and yet full of cool goings-on. Malkuth sent me enough to make a few more mods from it; but this one is his.

That's a real beauty too! I don't know what it reminds me of... I think squirrel fur (on the squirrel) because of that white/grey mottled area. Totally unique wood!

I extrapolated from the best charts I could find on the Sony US18650VTC5 and the LG ICR18650HE2

The LG kicks some serious .... for the voltage range we need with mechs!
And according to the LG documentation it is Li[NiMnCo]O2 (H-NMC) / Graphite + SiO so is safe chemistry.
However just to clarify, LG documentation lists it as 20A max continuous discharge

So if I'm reading the curves correctly, at 5 amps the LG should last about twice as long as an AW 1600 before dropping below 3.7 volts. I'm very interested in hearing the first hand reports.

WoW! I've not seen any of these that I didn't like. All works of art. The ambrosia maple is such an interesting wood to behold. It and the walnut are just classically natural and elegant. The stabilized ones are "rock star" beautiful. I thought CC's was going to be super red but it looks absolutely gorgeous the way it turned out...love the fire button too. The "tiger wood" is bad azz. I already have two stabilized OliverRs but seeing these makes me want another....maybe one of the natural woods this time. Can't wait to see monkey's ancient wood.
