Flip your battery over. I've been reassured by a sufficient # of tech heads that there's no difference.

How much does your fattest O-ring protrude? There's 1/32" difference between the o-rings. So if one doesn't fit, and the other leaves rattle . . . . are we talking about 1/128"?

I may try that another day, however at this point, the tape trick is working well.

It seems that the negative end is a tiny bit smaller than the positive side and that's where the rattle was coming from.

Wait, seriously?

yep . . . . .. on my mod. Not on other mods.

ADDIT: the configuration and materials on my mod make it such that you can't really short out in the battery compartment, and there's no electronics to blow . . .. .

ADDIT sumore: The reason I suggested flipping the battery is that the fattest o-ring grabs the sides of the tube harder (it's less flexible). With the nose on top, there's plenty room for the fattest o-ring. It'll sit a little deeper than need be; but it should snug in there better than the 3/32" Cross Section (CS) o-ring.

ADDIT sumore too: Plus, if you flip your battery, and a friend asks, "you sure you're vaping?" . .. . you can say, "yep, I'm positive!"

cool. the reason I'm not suggesting something more permanent, is cause I don't want you having the opposite problem with another battery. Lemme know how things develop; and I can give you 3-4 other solutions. It vapes tho . . . . . .. right? Ya' got steam coming out of it?

So, Glass, I forget, am I allowed to vape one of these? or do I just get to look at them?

You're right, 100% SS. Proly 306 too, since I can enlarge the wire capture hole by reaming.

Of course you can vape them... how are you going to tell how good they are if you can't fully test:)? Swap tops with first set tho, and know that I can have them made that way.

As for stainless quality... this is THE EXACT SAME QUALITY STAINLESS as the $140 GP Spheroid I just bought in the classies for bit less.

It is working fantastically. The only thing that would have made this thing better would have been if I had picked a stronger wood to have you make it from so I could have the top and bottom caps.

I'll try the flipped battery tomorrow because it's vaping great tonight.

And since I forgot to say it earlier because I was awe struck, "Beautiful mod Peter. It really does look better in person. I love it"!

You know... I really like the contrast with the black top and bottom.... I asked for that before even seeing the effect on yours. I think the black makes it apparent that there's a lot more going on between, where if it were ALL dyed wood, and really dark, you wouldn't look twice, you'd just assume it was black, or worse, dirty black...

I was so excited to see yours, because I think we got our blue pieces from the same place, possibly even the same dye batch:)!

I tried flipping the battery over and it mostly got rid of the rattle, and I think it might actually vape better (might just be me needing some sleep).

Also, is it typical for the big bottom screw that holds the fuse to be kinda lopsided connecting to the battery?

It can be, I haven't noticed a difference in vape poweruppage.

how about the # that correlates with the production # . . . otherwise . .. . . why? :p

But the numbers DO correspond with the production #'s:). I'm in batch #4, and I believe I was the 2nd Unit in the 4th batch.... what do you mean? Why else would I happen to want those #'s?:smokie::w00t::firefox:
