Well, that's odd. did you try other atties and what not? Just to see how they seat? did you make sure there wasn't a little chunk of something down in there? Glad to hear on the battery thing tho.
All I can really say is send it back and I'll have a look. You could try posting a few more pics (clear closeups of the open 510 and stuff); but if you're saying it's leaning . . . ..

Yours came out so dark ... but in your pix, it looks way lighter. So it darkened up from the original??
Mine's pretty dark too, and I thought they were the same color, but I think mine's got more purple in it. Wonder if mine will be as dark as yours??

Also, what did you do with the small piece that was more like mine (cut off in the above pix)? Why didn't you make that first?
There was some black in mine at the start. Yours looks lighter than mine was, but not by much.
If I had to guess, yours should come out looking lighter than ours did since I don't think pdib will have to encapsulate your wood in a thick layer of plexiglass to get it to hold together.
