He pdib. If glass gal moved one spot up does this mean we all moved one spot up? Does that make me run #6

probably. Most likely. could well be. You are, indeed, the first person in #7, so it would follow.

I don't have one yet but I like the idea of the magnets and even if you add screws I think the magnets should stay. Just duplicate and flop the holes on the other side for the magnet and screw. So the magnet is to the front on one side and to the back on the other.
I don't know if there is actually enough space, but it looks like another screw hole could be done at the bottom between the bottle hole and the magnet on the opposite side from the screw hole that's all ready there.
May lead to possible breaking point though.

instead of screws, could a 1/4 turn fastener be implemented?

obviously I dont have one yet, but the bottom plate thing has come to mind. I see both sides to the issue and would prefer no screws but some way of locking the bottom would be beneficial I think.
Couple of things....
First off, the "battery rattle". With my mod, I notice that there is a slight rattle of the battery at the top of the mod. It is not that bad, or even noticeable really. I know that I could solve it with a small piece of tape on the battery, but will not bother, as it has no effect on the operation of the mod nor me. I had a "gripper" that the 510 connection would wiggle back and forth tremendously. I know of some people that filled it up with silicon cause it wiggled so much. The slight rattle is not a problem, nor will it ever be. I know that in some flashlights, they put a piece of stiff cardboard in the tube to prevent that very thing as well. So, my recommendation on that is to not worry about it.
Secondly, the subject of replacing the magnets on the bottom with screws. Once again, I prefer it the way that it is. I find it much more convenient to swap the battery from the bottom of the mod. If I had to take out screws to do that, I would lose some convenience. I actually think that the magnets are much more cooler anyway. I like the fact that I can totally disassemble the mod without the use of tools. I did notice that there is much more throw to the fire button, but that took maybe 2 minutes to get used to. Again, it was not enough of an inconvienence for me to go through the effort of adding the spacers for the switch.
My vote for both ideas for improvement are to leave things as they are. I am exceedingly happy with the operation of my mod, and see no reason to improve it.

the magnets are 3/16" diameter. Nothing with a footprint bigger than 3/16 can replace them... The magnets are 3/16 because that's the biggest size I could reasonably fit.
I almost eliminated the one set screw because it was so impossible to fit it + magnet on the one side. (gdeal talked me out of it .. . . he smart)
