ok woulda thought I'd learned my lesson, specially since I just finished polishing and waxing her all up just yesterday after a whole round of surgery, but nope, guess I haven't, cause I dropped her again today
this time it broke in another place too, so I decided to reinforce it. a penny isn't ideal but it was the easiest way to do it and it should add a decent amount of strength, I cut the penny down to almost in half to make it thinner, it's actually silver metal in the middle of a penny

nickle maybe? mounted it flush to mate flat and flush to the base cap. anyway it's back to good as new again ready for round 3 I guess, love how the repairs in wood grain are completely invisible and it really is still good as new. the penny glued in there must make it at least somewhat stronger, the base feels a bit more solid now. I'm going to run the screw in there from now on i think, it really would help it on impacts like this too
this time I didn't get to polish it as much so it's even lower gloss right now, gotta buff it all up again after a 2nd round of surgery
i used a 1996 penny, the year my son was born
i also did a 10ml bottle upgrade, fits fine even with the half penny, don't think it would have fit with the full pennies thickness though
I'm really loving the feel of this satin finish on this mod now, past few days it's taken over as #1 spot in my daily vape rotation. a mech over a dna, that's saying a lot coming from me, I really love this thing even though it don't bounce so well
