That looks more like a special effects prop for a zombie movie than a real dog.

Mines getting old, but I don't want to look down that road...yet. She's red and white and smarter than most people I know. It's funny because I have a wife and two boys. Abby (my Aussie) considers herself to be second in command under me. The pack order is very clear to her.
And BTW Akdare yours was I'm sure a great dog but not the best ever, Abby is:p

Definitely hits harder with that silver coated BeCu spring huh!

I don't think the intermittent fire is coming from the spring or contact though - does your battery have a tight fit?

You know how to troubleshoot though - let us know what you did when you get that locomotive consistency again. I know mine hits like a train all day long now with all the new goodies in there. Guys at work we're getting fogged out during break yesterday and I believe I'm seeing future converts. Hehehe I was in a hurry and blowing back to back fat tasty clouds.. The kind you can't see through and I heard the comment "I'm gonna have to check those out". Of course I pointed them in the right direction LOL.

Thanks for dropping by! :)

I had to put my screw in backwards because it initially felt a little tight when I screwed it in the other way. The end of the screw I put in to the button was nice and smooth - the end that is now the contact - not so much. That's what I believe was causing the intermittence.

Since the vid I cleaned all magnets and filed the contact end so it is nice and smooth.

It's no longer intermittent. :)

Yep, my AW IMR 1600's are nice n tight :)

All the brass contacts are always clean :)

Edit: just took it out and screwed it in the way the designer intended. While in there I cleaned the shaft of the button female receptor and the top of the "square" that is the bottom of the button hole with alcohol.

I noticed a grey film on the shaft where the spring goes. Assumed it was noalox. So I applied a clean film of it, replaced spring and reassembled. Now it's even more perfect :)

Point here being that Turbo... you may have done yourself a big favor NOT winning that $128 piece... so don't feel too bad:).

ha, nice try but I still am ...... I missed that one, then to make things worse I found a few really nice pieces of the same stuff but unstabilized and mostly dark as I wanted, I was going to manually bid them last evening but I got tied up with work and forgot about them and they went cheap, under $50 each so now I'm even more ......, I didn't even set a snipe :( so I just went and bought a nice large long piece of snakewood that I've been eyeing and a really interesting teak burl? I also bought a nice long board of some rosewood with some white sapwood in it, I think I'm going to carve everything down to appropriate size blocks and then send them to K&G myself to have them stabilized.

these are the 3 latest pieces of wood I bought :)

snakewood, 13.5" x 2.5" x 2.25"

bolivian rosewood, 33" x 3 15/16" X 1 5/8"

$_12.JPG

and white teak burl, 5 7/8" x 4" x 1 5/8"

$_57.JPG

now I really gotta stop buying wood :)

Sub ohm kits are now up on Robs site :)

Man those are going out fast! I sent an email to Rob since I'm ordering an out of stock Grand and I'm having it sent to an alternate shipping address. Hopefully he gets to read it before they sell out.

It's almost 5am now, and I won't be able to sleep. I'll need to wait for a response from him. If I fall asleep, the contacts may be all gone.

don't worry he has thousands of these kits, probably only listed 200 at a time because his shipping them out is going to be a lot of work and he doesn't want to get behind with shipping but he def won't run out, even if the site shows he's out, he will catch up with shipping the ordered ones, then list another 200 or so... they will not sell out completely and you will be able to get one may just be a matter of a few days for him to catch up
