I was curious about this one $7.43 Vortex Style Rebuildable Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Can't find a pic of the internals though to see how hard it would be.
If I could just rotate that middle shot.

There's another shot of it on the fasttech site that shows more of the deck... but I'd venture a guess that this is not as good as the other cheap-ables we've been looking at. Might be personal preference, but I don't care for thumb screws. Hard to get them as tight as they need to be and they also tend to come loose.I was curious about this one $7.43 Vortex Style Rebuildable Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

agreed or could be real interesting if the juice feed hole could go straight up the center between the two posts.By internals I was talking about what is inside here

The thumbscrews can be replaced and holes can be drilled in the posts for wire capture, but what and how the 510 center post connects to the offset positive post could make it a PITA to convert.
On the "me modding atties for some of y'all" front . . . . . I'm considering ordering a small batch of "starter atties". Y'know, IGO-S type thing. I've heard, in the past about a couple others from Fasttech. YK-somefin'-somefin' . . . .. . Phoenix V#2,723 1/2. . . . In any case, if anyone would be kind enough to suggest a nice, reliable, basic model atty like that. Not too expensive, so that I could ask a few bucks for modding them, and the Peep (end user) isn't breaking the bank. What was that YK-somefin'-somefin' one?
Lemme know if y'all find something.

Here are a couple......very reasonably priced.
$4.88 A6 Mini Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$4.99 Phoenix V4 Detachable Dripping Atomizer (1.2ml) - 1.0

Well... It official. The Micro-Gen squanks!!!... I was able to drill a 1/32" hole to the side of the pos post. An o-ring from an old drip tip prevents leaking.
My favorite atty meets my favorite PV... at last!

I only finished drilling & re-coiling it about 10 mins ago, but so far, it's working like a dream.
Because there's no need for a reservoir in the atty itself, I can make a much shorter version for squanking. I should be able to try out a couple more designs over the next couple weeks. I'll keep you guys posted...

Gosh that's a gorgeous pdibby!! Can you make a microgen 1/2 that tall? That's really tall isn't it?
Which makes me wonder if the pdib could bottom feed with a regular bridgeless atomizer/cartomizer??

I'm going to ask what may be a dumb question here... but I haven't seen an answer to it anywhere else.
If I grind off the ego part of an ego atomizer, would that work flush on a 510 connector? I have these little Aspire ET-S atomizers that are both glass and stainless that I just love, and they are ego threaded. I'd like to know if I can just dremel off the Ego part and screw it right into a 510??
So, gdeal, that A6 is the one you modded and shared pics, right? It seems the phoenix-v4 is similar (is it?). Meaning, they both seem to be made with 2-part centerposts? An adjustable / screw-in 510, and an upper section? (if so, is the upper post section fixed? . . . . no it looks pressed in with an insulator bushing).
