So the fine folks at Reosmods finally have a Grand in stock their site in a finish that appeals to me -- plain black anodized. And Redskymods has some African mahogany cruises available too.

Can you guys PLEASE talk me out of buying either or both of these as beater/backup bottom feeder while I'm waiting for my second dibi?

Nope. The anodized are my favorite REO finish. I have 3 that are anodized and love how they feel and the durability.

I think at some point, pdib mentioned having igo's that he was modifying for bf. so, I perused the library but alas, came up empty. Did I imagine this, or are they available? If so, how much?
I'm attempting a conversion tomorrow on a Atomic I have and need a backup plan, in case I completely botch it.

Oh yeah, what kind of wood is that?

it's snippet wood. :p

I have some IGO-Ws. They are fully stainless (posts too). I also have some V7s.

The Ws, alas, aren't drilled for wire capture. So that's a little more work. Gotta drill out the centerpost, cross drill it at the deck, and then drill 3 wire capture holes. The V7s are just the juice feed boring. Maybe $20 for the V7 and $25 for the W? (idk, 15 & 20?)

ADDIT: Oh . . . .. . I just checked "another" site for price comparison . . . . .. .$35 for a modded IGO-S? No wonder I'm broke. Let's go with 20 & 25.

Very fair price. Are they actual youde's? Curious, because I know the the top cap on my w and t are interchangeable and I'm was thinking I would use the t's cap.

Hmmm, I googled snippet wood and all that came up were circumcisions.......odd

I googled "surprise me" and it came up the same definition as last week.

The Ws are original UD. My L cap fits them fine as well as did another version . . . . 6? 4? IDk.

seriously tho, I don't mind telling you. I just thought we could keep a little surprise in reserve.

Good deal. Should I pm you an official request?
