That's why glassgal and I are trying to set up the atty that she's sourcing. Still have to try it out and what not; but the idea is to provide a simple, but high quality, small chamber atty that's ready to go for bf. Keep your ear to the ground, VH. If it works out, you'll be asking me to include one in your order.

.. sent you a pm. Just include everything in my order:D

Anyone else remember Oliver J Dragon (Ollie)?

Wow Cookoo Fran and Ollie...That's a trip down memory lane. The good old days of 3 television stations...kept tuned in with a match book wedged behind the station selector knob. Christ I'm getting old.

Can we call them a Dibi Oliver with the ECF restrictions?

That one kinda flows well, and would still be both a Dibi, and an Oliver. It would play both sides (AC/DC) for people that like either suggestion, and keep the peace between the two choices.

you mean that whole red statement? Sure, SFM, you can call it whatever you want.

I think, my personal mod will just be known as Ollie.

. . .. as in: "what's yer Ollie?"

"Ollie's a dibiMOD"

So when I tell someone out there in the great big vaping world what I have ordered, should I say "It's a DibiMod", or "It's a mod by Pdib", or "It's a Dibi Oliver", or "It's an Oliver"?

I just want to know what to tell people when they ask why I'm going to be sleeping in the garage in a few months. :D

Take it from a female- when you get tossed to the garage, the last thing anyone wants to know is what you bought. Everyone will ask first how much did you spend! LOL!!

BTW~ hope while you were spending you bought yourself some pillows cause we don't let the bedroom pillows out the house.

Those will be purchased in between the first and the second one. ;)

I used to spend $150 a month on analogs, so one of these beautiful pieces of art is easily paid off with the money that I would have been spending on analogs for 2 months. I rationalize that I can buy one of these every 2 months and still have $50 left over to buy DIY flavors and such.

Good in my mind, and should keep me warm in the garage. Plus, she'll probably cave once I remind her how much I'll need to spend to get the garage into a "livable" condition.

There is no way I'd put an atty like an A7 on an Oliver Dibi. Or any quality mod for that matter. The wobbly center pin makes them highly short prone.

It'd sorta be like running a Ferrari on a matching set of temporary spare tires :)

A quality mod deserves a quality RBA IMO.

I don't disagree with the center pin comment... the threading is highly suspect, in fact when I was reassembling the thing... I could push it in and I think that only 2-3 threads caught, however I understand that a small o-ring solves the issue of shorts and hey I've already invested in it  and as I said; I have a RM2 unmilled in the mail... lol. It's all good.

Supernice BF atties are still hard to find. IMHO. However; once the "Oliver by Dibby" really takes off everyone will be scrambling to be the BF atty king... At least that's how it goes in my dream... and... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I tried that rational with my wife.
Seems logic doesn't apply to my spending budget.

Less than 2 weeks and over 1000 posts.
Kinda says something.

Well, back to work for me.

What I find impressive is I got in 3 days after this thread started and there were already over 20 (if not more) ahead of me. lol Instant demand for a product in a very sketchy market is impressive to me. Still just happy to be a part of it. :toast:

Me likey optional atty!

SXD, I dont disagree with much of what you post, but the A7 while not perfect, is a great modded atty for BF'ing. Like most other inexpensive atties it needs some tweaking. Wobble 510, put an insulator aroung the 510 pin, (just like the RM2 has). Dont like that raised airflow tube in the atty, cut it out and get 100% drainage. Its also all stainless steel and vapes great modded. Same for the A6 modded, vapes better than the RM2* IMO. (*not to be controversial)

That said, I do agree with that the Dibi, Oliver, (I'm calling mine the "Big O") does deserve something a bit more upscale. Now if I can just get my hands on one of the gold version Cyclone's with bottom feed and a matching AFC. I would feel a bit more complete.

Me likey 'Big O' for name! I withdraw my previous comment. Oliver is okay with me =] My precious shall be introduced to others as my 'Big O DibiMOD'! Wait a minute... Big O kinda reminds me of a line in a movie about BIG OTIS!

Forget about it... I don't care what you name it, just keep the thread open so I can lead others here :/ The pictures and the reviews will be enough WITHOUT A NAME!

Ummmmmm, yeah... I have seen them... sock puppets... and a lamb with a blonde woman with a baby girl's voice was in there somewhere... and Capt Kangaroo... and Mr GreenJeans was Alice Cooper's dad in RL... also some Humphalump or big elephant and an Owl... there was an Owl that I was TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH... forget the name now. And a hippo? Henrietta hippo? Hippo, owl, whatever show that was, I loved them.

New Zoo Revue 1972-1977 with Freddie the Frog, Henrietta Hippo, Charlie the Owl...
