I know! I'm the same way and it's frustrating. One day I'm happy and the next day I'm changing coils only to come back to what I had the day after that. Damn taste buds can't decide and stay in one spot.
The solution is multiple rba's I built 5 last night. A dual coil Cyclone at 1.3 ohms, a dual coil Patriot at 1ohm, and RM2s at .76, .96 and one with twisted 30ga at 1.1.

But then of course you want more mods so you don't even have to change them, just pick up a new mod.

Here's what I'ma B rockin on mine soon (is it done yet?)

That's a vicious and BF cyclone no AFC. Just standard top cap.

Here's how it looks on another bottom feeder that p-dibi made a door for :).

The boys got some SEROIUS game don't he?

I knew it as soon as I met him on here :)

..:vapor: SHOW OFF :vapor:... LOL, just kidding. I always look forward to your coil close ups and I never get tired of looking at that circuit board door - what poor device did you gut that beaut out of?

Mostly, I do Mundy's Magic in the RM2. A 3\4 wrap @~0.45ohms. Alternatively, you might catch me doing 26g Nichrome in an IGO-s; 8 wraps @0.5 ohms. I occasionally do a dual in an IGO-L,W or Nimbus clone.

I gotta do some research on that Mundy's Magic and Nichrome. I don't care too much about vapor production. What I'm looking for is a coil that produces the best flavor.

Hmm. I was just lurking in the woodvil thread and somebody from Miami noted that his finish suffered from the humidity (he wasn't sure which finish it had). Others mentioned treating the inside (and outside if not poly) with oil/wax in a humid environment. Humidity around here for most of the year is in the high 90s with many days at 100%. The air gets so wet it just starts dripping.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Is there a Dibi cleaning and maintenance manual? Owners manual? Parts list? Exploded diagram?

Excellent question Bimini. I'm sure our artisan (known as Pdib) will be most qualified to answer that.

Btw, my hats off to you for actually reading through 100+ pages here.:toast:

I just got 100ft of the right ribbon. (thanks to pdib for the link) I was going to give Mundy's Magic a go. I'm glad you posted that so I have an idea for my first wrap. I haven't started yet but I'm guessing RM2 with drilled out posts?

I use RM2s mainly with a 6 wrap of Magic on anywhere from 1.2mm to 1.4mm ID which nets me right at .8 to .9 ohms.
The rectangular mod I am currently using has been souped up and has around 0.15V drop with fresh charged AW18650 1600mah and .8 to .9 ohms load.
I have 1 RM2 with the meat grinder set up in my avatar at 0.4 ohms that I will put on when I need to really crush my taste buds and occasionally I will do a simple micro coil of R41 when I need to give the buds a rest.
Got an low profile RM2 coming (unmilled around the outside circumference) to go on my oval shaped mod when I get it.
I have a Stratus dripper that is a hand made high end with impeccable precision and all stainless, but it doesn't perform any better than an RM2.

Yep, you will have to drill the posts to fit Magic.
Try to leave the bottom of the hole about the same height or you might have trouble clamping down on smaller single wire should you decide to use it later.

Is this the same for stabilized wood?
No, if truly closed cell and treated all the way through it should be coated and not really absorb any water into the wood itself. If the block itself if placed in water it would get water into the grain and voids but not the wood, when you took it out of the water it would all drain away.

Thank you Alexander Mundy (in person)

I've read it once through already but I plan on reading the Mundy's Magic thread again before doing the deed. It looks awesome. I've always admired your "Grinder".

I'm looking forward to it. :)

I'm one of those nuts with Spare attys just for this type of occasion. I will have at least 1 solely dedicated.

From what I've experienced so far, my 007 should have no problem melting it off the posts. :)

Thanks Tree that would be cool as well, but I was talking about the official "group 1" that pdib is working on now, not the "beta testers" (super lucky so and so's).

I am told I'm in "group 2" which will be starting at the end of the month or early February. I think "group 1" is where Mundy is in (if that was actually his wood WAY back in post #7 and #14).

I'm in "group 1", but don't tell my wife there are pictures of my wood on the Internet. ;)

The meat grinder (thanks Xo for the name) is great for a short while, but will flatten the taste buds if used for prolong periods and it takes a day or so of simple micro vaping to get them back to normal. (At least for moi)
