Please tell me that is not an R34 in the background lol

ha, I wish, the R34 is my favorite old school ... muscle car by far, would love to get my hands on one someday. that's a little subaru coupe I'm building for my son who just got his licence and your right, the styling does remind me much of the gt-r :)

I used to have a Subaru Forester with the turbo. I had to get rid of it before I became uninsurable. I'd be tooling down the highway and look down and I'd be going 90+ish. I was really looking hard at the WRX's before I got my Jetta, but The Evil One put the clamps down on that plan :( At least the Porsche has the decency to sound like it's going fast when I'm pushing my luck ;)

Mine too. Closest I've gotten to a car like a GT-R was an 04 STi that cost me more in speeding tickets that I could afford.:p Now we roll in an Outback... full of car seats... yay lol I'm a ricer at heart. Grew up with domestic muscle/drag cars but have always had a thing for Japanese cars. Someday I'll get this lil turd back to the drag strip:

yeah this one I'm building for him is an ex-track car so it was pretty gutted and butchered, roll cage and all but we restored it back all pretty nice it's got the go fast look but it's only got a stock 2.5 non turbo motor right now... can't see giving an 18yo a turbo car like this as his first car so the swap back to an sti drivetrain will be a bit down the road after he has a year or 2 under his belt :)

far as verticals I'm usually not a fan I even build horizontal in the origen but the way this odin is set up and the way the airflow is set up you gotta kind of tilt them to line up right but it's not bad at all... when I reinstalled the center pin I turned it to line up straight with the airholes. that would be the only thing I'd change is if the air slots for duals was centered instead of off to one side of center of each well cut out but it's not that bad

the whole cap/airflow way they built this thing is nice and simple and the well setup is great for bf the coils wind up half in and half out so it's not like a tank below that holds juice like the origen, it's more like a cup that fills and then evacuates on squonking... the origen needs the coils to be completely above the well and the well holds juice always, like a tank. stuffing excess cotton in there is a band aid, prevents leaking but also holds juice always and eventually collects partially scorched juice in there and taints the vape.. I like this odin as a bf better because of full evacuation

this is the way I have it set up

The r34 has a getrag 6 speed, one of the best 6 speed trannies ever, same basic tranny as the legendary twin turbo supras but with a sick awd transfer case added to it. These trannies are what really made these cars iconic, they didn't nake a lot of power stock but they could be built up to be 7-800hp monsters because the rest of the drivetrain could handle it. I have a getrag 6 speed tranny for a car that I'm building for myself, hoping to someday be able to do awd smokey drifts ken block style I guess :)

My boss to HRH: this thing is a pig to drive in the wet. (it's a Shelby Mustang, like this, 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 | The Cobra of Performance Cars | Ford.com

HRH says - no problem - if it rains, call me and i'll drive it, i come from a place where it rains a lot.

I don't trust her with the tv remote.

I've seen a lot of builds that are basically 'pack it with cotton and hope for the best', and i recall my teenage years being a fairly close analogy. Which is fine for tank atties like R91s and Kayfuns, but the fact your juice gets tainted is not good. it's my opinion that this is because you drill juice holes too low and the original cyclone never did this. It didn't drain as a bottom feeder.

I have a Cyclone clone (which is different from Barry McGuigan who was the Clones Cyclone and a boxer) and to bottom feed it i just drilled the pin.

If i drift my car tomorrow - i'll know who to blame (it's only a crap little v6 and i have to recoil it every week).

Glad I checked in and found we are talking cars. :) My real love is making engines produce more power. This fall my Brother in Law and long time mechanic friend is going to help me finish up my VW bug project since I can not do some of the physical labor needed. It has been on hold for a couple of years while getting the business grounded. I have 95% of everything required already, with a few custom pieces still to make. Here is a picture of the engine. I have done a little more since that photo. Most everything you can see is custom made. It is supercharged and inter cooled with electronic fuel injection and distributor less ignition, all of which I have custom built including the dual fan fan cooling system. Had a custom profile camshaft ground for the system, roller rocker arms, custom pistons and barrels, stroker crank, etc. Heads are custom made and I spent a lot of time shaping the ports to my liking using a homemade flow bench. Conservatively should put out a reliable 300 HP. Not bad for an engine designed to make 60 HP. The car has a tube steel frame with full roll cage. The suspension is strictly set up for straight line so stop light to stop light is its job.

Good stuff Mundy. The new motor for the blue turd I've been working for two years should be fairly impressive. Honda bseries bored to 85mm and stroked to 95mm; 2.2 liters and should be around 275 HP. Nitrous will probably follow. In the pic I posted it was boosted and dyno'd at 400 to the wheels. Like you, I get the most enjoyment out of making lots of power from little motors. :D

You look like one happy guy Val!

I forgot the part where I was giddy for more than a week when I received my first one. Congrats man, glad to see you so happy... You deserve it.

Maybe I've become I'll from reading this thread from the day it started, but I actually missed the dibi dances. Glad to see you back in the groove.

the next stage for mine was a stroker kit, piston's, etcetcetc££££££, it was running on the limit & with the cold weather it was boosting more than it should have, i ended up mincing piston's, after getting it fixed up i sold her
if i was to get another i would get the true godzilla gtr, r32, its lighter and you can run it 4wd or rwd.

vvery nice mundy ;)
