I can vouch for the fact that those 2900 mAh Pannys are awesome with a DNA-20. As for a mech, I can't say. My Dibi won't be made for a while yet (my slot is in the 7th batch).
I think a lot depends on what resistance coils you plan to run in your atty, because that's what determines the draw from the battery. Just because the Dibi is a mech and can provide close to 10 amps doesn't mean everyone will will build coils that pull that much from it. Plenty of people are totally happy with 1.0 ohm or higher coils on their mechs, which are only going to pull about 4 amps, and if that's what you're doing, then a different battery might be be optimal for you than for the guy who's running at 0.5 ohms or less.
yep… i have been an AW IMR 1600 fan since the Provari first came out (it was recommended; i guess for "LR" atomizers; 2.0 and down… all the way to 1.5 sizzlers lol )…
and since the first mechanicals started using RBA's with wow! less than 1 ohms coils, it was a natural with its 10 amp spec.
(I got over a doz over the last year)
I've lately been lingering around the .4 to .6 mark…. even .34 ohms w/ duals.
I've been told by much smarter than me that AW IMR 1600 will handle it as long as I don't hold the fire button more than 5 seconds, which is actually a long time for sub ohms vaping.
But just to be safe I look for High Drain or IMR type batts with higher than 10 amp rating… and imo its a PIA because you got to research length, button top, flat top, what fits, what is good which one is so so… threads like this where the smart guys bring the info is amazing…
and Pdib will fit your DIBI to the batt you prefer.
There's a saying that has served me well over the years: "if you want to catch a fish ask the guys who are catching them exactly what gear they are using"… down to the littlest jot and tittle (mine)
