Newb battery questions:
Would it be safe to assume that all AW / IMR 18650 batteries fit ? I've read some recommendations on 20A - 30A continuous discharge batteries but aren't they only applicable for dual coils and sub-ohming? . When I started vaping 2 months ago, I just read a thread here saying that IMR chemistry is safer so that's what I bought. I got a bunch of Efest V2 2000 mah 18650 but I couldn't find any info regarding its rated discharge amperage. I went as low as .8 ohms on my single, dual coil, and twisted coil builds (sometimes .6 ohms) and the batts seem to be holding just fine (no leaks, gas, warming up / getting hot ) and I don't deal with stacking batteries. So am I an accident waiting to happen?
I still don't quite understand the dangers of these batteries as to what conditions are they subjected to render an explosion. If someone could please post a link or thread explaining this, I would greatly appreciate it.![]()
Well, I just dropped an email to one of the stabilized wood distributors with whom I'd spoken before. If they agree to try and supply a little more product in the sizes we'll be wanting, I'll be sure to drop a link in here. There's stuff out there to be found; but it would be nice to have a "go-to guy/gal" with some variety ready to ship. We'll see.
ON ↑ THIS:
So, he's heard my plea, and he says he does include x 2" wide pieces. His process takes some time; but he'll be notifying me when batches are done (via his customer email list). He's suggested I post a link here when I get notifications from him, and we can rifle through his new materials before he posts them online. There are plenty of sources tho. Anyhoo . . . . .
