Honestly wasn't going to buy wood lol stupid google made me do it. I was going to be patient, then I found a chunk of old growth redwood burl stabalized/dyed while looking at different types of wood and it was ordered before I could even realize what was happening.

In all seriousness though, I've never spent this much on a mod and have been looking for that "something special" mod to have. So when I saw that burl redwood block, I was drooling. Just hope it all works out like it is in my head haha. The whole idea of this mod is perfect to me. Wood, sub-ohm capable, built by a person who obviously has pride in work, made in USA, size, held together by magnets, etc. All kinds of awesome going on here.

timk, when dibby showed me his prototype, my eyes popped out about a foot and great big ol' red AHOOGA" OOGA OOOGA AIR HORNs went off in my brain. I had to have one. I have two! It's all that I expected and more.

Listen, even if it isn't what you worked out in your head, it will be heirloom quality, subΩable, tweakable, sexy as hell, and will feel like a well worn rich corinthian leather glove in the hand and vape like a boss with the right(your) atty/coil setup.

Now, does that help you justify your decision to lay out some cash for a great vape?;)

Disclaimer: although this is a sincere post, ol' Treebeard has had a few hurricanes

Check out THE MASK'S drip tip at the end!

ADDIT:forgot to mention.....It's a first year run, ground floor, one of a kind "dibby".

haha awesome video. What i mean by work out is the piece of wood I chose. I knew it would be risky and the dimensions are bare minimum. I have no doubt the mod will be epic, just hope my choice in wood works.

Now I want some corinthian leather gloves btw, thanks alot! lol I tell ya, the mind's eye is a fickle fickle thing...

Ok so I'm a little excited and couldn't wait to post some Dibby porn.

Here’s the Dibby Canary Beta 0007 – for now I’m calling him 007:

No dust on this one either! It looks better in person.

I came home to it last night, unpackaged and scrubbed a brand new Cyclone AFC, wrapped a .6Ω coil, 7 wraps of 26g Kanthal A1 on a 1/16th drill bit, (redneck coil jig), tested continuity, voltage and resistance everywhere, (see pdibs advice on previous posts) plugged in the coil and cinched er down, and I knew right then this was ordinary bottom feeding wood mod. I haven’t measured voltage drop yet (coming soon to a theater near you) but while I was burning in the coil I could have easily melted it off the posts. No kidding! You won’t be holding down the button and making a flashlight on a Dibby! 

Wicked it up, loaded it with my favorite juice (the notorious NEMP) and…………..

WHOLLY-SEAMING-MONKEY-POO!!! This thing hits like a locomotive on take-off. I’ve never blown clouds like this before. (When you coming back monkey?)

Like others have said, “it’s beautiful”, fits good and feels good in your hand. (hmmm:oops:)
Every attention was paid to detail even with the hidden character of this particular beta. Pdib includes everything you need in your little bag of tricks for just about any setup.

Thank you for all your hard work pdib. When I made my first post on this thread #26 I knew exactly what I was looking at. “A work of art made by pdib”! It’s worth every penny and in my case I know I got the better end of the deal. After all, the “Canary Beta 0007 really is priceless”!

More to come – I’m waiting for camera equipment. 

My sentiments, exactly! I recognize the avatar but can't put a face to the name, X-pup.

Still a tree, still no beard.

NOW, if you would have named yourself "there's a ladybug on my eyeball", that'd be a bit more accurate. (no really . . . .. lookie)

There is a beard (of moss) just out of frame. Dang it! Gonna try to swing by there on the way home and take another pic. But hey, I do have lichen. Not sure that's a ladybug...can only see pixels with the loupe:D. Could be monkey poo flung from afar.:)

I had a Taylor with a curly flame koa top, with a banded mahogany backing.... It was lovely.... Sadly financial prosperity overruled the beauty. :/

.. . you don't need to get your own materials. I have materials. Don't buy materials unless you're in a spendy kin'a mood.

I'm in a spendy kind o mood but I'm patiently waiting for the pics made from "shop stock". Truthfully I wouldn't mind owning one at all made from scrap wood (like the prototype) as long as it'll last me a long time.

I don't mean to overload your work but, any guesstimate on when the last production run on "the queue" will be finished? I ask bec. I've been showing pics to my friends and they want one also. There's a whole fan base building here.
