(And prior knowledge that whatever pdib had put his mind to make would be top notch on the electrical side with low voltage drop)

All the photos had me drooling... I wasn't talking about the Dibi in particular, because now that I'm here, and committed, it's no longer an objective perspective.

I'm talking about what it takes to get me to buy something, anything, that I more or less already want (ie, if I happen on a site selling air conditioners, I wouldn't buy one no matter what it had on it, I don't need an air conditioner). To 'close' me more or less.

If everyone did that, I'd be broke and unable to walk around my house, so it's a good thing so many don't! LOL!

As for Marketing Director, I'm pretty good at marketing, so Pdib can save the Consultant's fee, since what I just told him would be all they could tell him too. No, I'm a lazy glass artist, who is currently more obsessed about vaping than glass.

after retiring, i was desperate for a hobby. spending my kids' inheritance on nice wood mods fit the bill nicely

i don't think i'm allowed to ask for my 3rd dibi yet. or beyond...

iI've been in big trouble (with myself) after it got to more than the digits on both hands…

GG now that i think about it, my wife has a lot of the same criteria in purchasing…. but i wouldn't have married her if she got her nose in my gear, or my ukes… love that gal.

eh hem.. i guess i'd do well to have adapted your techniques, but its too late…

you know as late as a couple years ago, you could EASILY sell off high end gear here… but there's just too much out there now i tell ya.

but it never hurts to go with the consensus of my peers or mentors around here.

Well, it's not like people don't sell things if they don't do it... but I think they'd sell MORE if they did... in some cases, it may not be good to sell MORE... because if you already sell everything you have, it's just that much more work to do.

Glad you like them, AM. Those are pdib #s 4 & 5. And they are delicious. Fact is, I chose that wood because it was the only block on the burl site at the time I was looking that had the required dimensions and I liked the color too. Back in the day, I used to use a 55 Bear recurve bow (archery) that looked very much like it. As luck would have it, the block was big enough for two. I do feel like I stepped in a big ol' pile of luck with these two. Thanks for the stingers, dib bee!

Very good, sir. After I get these mods into the postman's bag, I'm gonna take a little time to organize. I may do just that ↑, or I may put pertinent info into a new thread [not for gabbing thread . . .. a quiet, virtual library of a thread . . . .. .] and toss a link into the beginning of this one. This will be the gabby-gab-gab thread. That other will be the "ssssshhhhhhhhh .. . .. people are studying" thread.
