I haven't seen an IGO-S but the first thing that comes to mind would be build quality?

So, let me ask y'all this, just for the sake of conversation . .. picking your brains (like eating monkey out of the skull) . .. .

What's the difference between the IGO-S and the Cyclone .. . . . really? (not talking AFC)

the difference is mostly in the cap and how tight the cap fits. the igo cap is thin, almost like it's made stamped from a sheet where the cyclone is more like you'd expect something machined from a billet. the cyclone cap also fits much tighter and stays put. try to pull your mod from your pocket from the head with an igo and the cap will come off leaving a wet wick in your pocket where the cyclone you can easily lift the mod out of your pocket from the head and it'll stay put. also goes for keeping your air hole alignment right...

OK, so, let me ask this question then . . .. . . let's say I had an atty that was all SS, nice fit on the topcap (although tight or supertight is a question of preference IMHO . . . I hate supertight), and was either like the cyclone or the igo DECK and POSTS in shape/config. . .. and had a thick cap. . .. . is that hitting the right spots? Anything else?

and/or I had 3 posts crammed in there or just two (separate question)

tcad's (and others) posts in the Divo thread would be worth looking at... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/515760-divo-rba-8.html

a deck that small I can't see 3 posts being better, I think that works better on a larger atty like an igo w but the larger chamber isn't as much flavor enhancing. the small chamber of something like the rm2 or the igo are what makes them so great in taste, flavors are boosted with the smaller chamber so I'd say chamber volume is another thing that should be high on the make it or break it list along with the other criteria you mention

yeah, here are some measurements I came up with originally in the divo thread to be able to "see" the difference

-----------------------------dia----height------ci----------------

cyclone(afc)--------------.515" x .570"= 0.118 cubic inches

cyclone(non afc)---------.515" x .335"= 0.070 cubic inches

rm2------------------------.530" x .315"= 0.069 cubic inches

divo------------------------.505" x .275" = 0.055 cubic inches

igo-s-----------------------.510 x .225" = 0.046 cubic inches

*vvv below are NOT BF SIDE AIR FLOW ATTIES. ONLY SHOWN AS REFERENCE vvv*

kayfun mini*--------------.370 x .330 = 0.035 cubic inches

Wow, T-cad really went all the way on that one! Nice work, man!

So, here's the thing. With Mundy's magic, I already get so much sweetness and flavor that I cut my juice almost in half with unflavored. So, I for one am usually trying to up the acids and the TH, if anything. I'm not into sweet. I guess I'm just saying that there's preferences, and there's limits too.

"best flavor" and "most amplified/enhanced flavor" are 2 different things really, but yeah most will say that the more flavor enhancement the better which is why the rm2 has always been so highly regarded.

on that note though I will add that personally I think there is such a thing as too much enhancement in some cases. I made a chamber reducer for my cyclone with afc and by playing around with various increments of chamber size and with some juices and with the smallest chamber size it can get to be just too much. some juices I open it up just a bit and it affects the flavor big time. also reducing the chamber I no longer need to run duals in the cyclone with afc I can get great flavor and even too much flavor with just a single coil even. chamber size is a big factor. adjustable chamber volume is very effective to dial the flavor in, surprised there aren't any atties with adjustable chamber size. adjustable airflow and chamber size really lets you dial in the vape so much, both make very dramatic changes to the vape and combined they really make for a wide range of tuning ability

yeah, tiny chamber has a similar affect as mm and like you said it's not too hard to get to the point of too much. mm was too much for me in most juices that I tried but I hadn't played with any diy at that point too, now like you say mm would probably be better for me by seriously diluting the flavored juice in the first place, but adjustable chamber volume is similar to being able to adjust or dial between a standard coil and a mm coil and everything in between with just a standard single wire coil and simply adjusting the volume...

this is why I asked you if you had a cyclone with afc in our last pm's. was going to send the adjuster to you to check it out if you did ;)

... That's right, it's the V1 and the V2 has the b/f option... Where'd u get yours from Uke?

Anyway, I'm in the Philippines right now and in my search for a gold cyclone, I bump into one of the guys who has the patent on the cyclone and era hornet. He was showing me his new Gamma tank V2 which he calls a hybrid dripper / bottom feeder:

The topper comes with its own AFC by simply screwing on/off the cap for air. I asked him if he can make me a plain bottom feeder version and he said no problem. Question is, would you guys be interested also?

Bottom fed version screw adjustable AFC without the tank. I'd be interested. Looks like the small chamber would be great for flavor.

Well, I am looking forward to trying Jasl90's Micro-Gen with a wrap or two of MM in it. That's going to be about as small chamber as can be done.

He had concerns about magic being too big but thought he might have a solution.
I hope he finds it, looking forward to that also.

don't know Jasl90's Micro-Gen?, and yeah mundy your obviously a serious flavor kinda guy :) lately I'm finding that I don't really like too much flavor. I like tweaking it and adjusting it but I like to start out with either flavorless or flavorless with just a little flavoring added. most store bought flavors are now just way too overpowering to me. I'll now take 10% of a store bought juice mixed with 90% unflavored and even that to me gives great flavor and is more than enough for me :)
