And you would be correct Sir Dib... How many wraps do you normally run? Chain vaping may be the answer for that coil... lol.

Well, I run a 3/4 wrap around a 1/16" ID. It's a bit shy of .5Ω. Tasty tho. I think Mundy does a 6 wrap on a smaller ID (1.2mm, IIRC), he gets a .6-.7Ω kin'a thing. (Although, now he's got his Trunker Batts, and he's dropped a wrap, now hasn't he).

I had put aside my twisted wire, as every coil I wrapped, took way too long to heat up. Decided to try again on the rm2 and my new aw1600 batts. Fires quick and has been my best setup yet.

. It's 9 wraps at .8ohms. Getting nicked quick.

More surface area in contact with juice=more vapor.

I tried it once, but didn't notice better vapor, but maybe I did it wrong:). When I got to the ends, I just stuck ONE wire through the hole in the post... when you twist them up like that, how do you get all of the wires through the post hole?

Also, if say you want 1" worth of wire, do you just double that up (2"), and because it's twisted, it's counted as 1"?

If your typical coil would give you 1 ohm coil using two and twisting will be around .5 or slightly higher depend on how much and how tight the twist is. you put both wires through the holes.

So doubling the wire halves the ohms? I did this a while ago, and haven't tried it again. I'll try it again. Thanks:)!

I only use twisted wire anymore.

Either 28 or 26 gauge Kanthal, drill twisted... It provides the lower resistance I like for massive vapor (*use only with the proper batteries) and also seems to bring out the nuances of flavor I enjoy.

I have 28, 30, 32 ga and that awful Kanthal D .05, I don't like the taste on the 28 either...

I seem to do badly with the thicker wires, my 30 works the best for me (and I even taste that). No amount of heating and carbon film helps the thicker wires much for me, and if I vape it a lot, I end up with sore spots on my tongue (which means I have to not use that atomizer for a while). Just made the neatest teeny microcoil out of 30 ga on a corsage pin for my A7 (in Microstick). WOW, did that turn out amazing:)!!!

I will try a twist wrap soon:)!
