So the silver contacts are not so much for conductivity but for their anti-corrosive properties, and the becu spring helps the conductivity and for the button to be less fiddly?

It sounds like it's been working out great, any more observations? Are you going to make that as standard or is it still option? Like it's been said by others what ever performance upgrades you come out with assume I'm in. :)

i've been lusting after glassgal's wood for a long time now, even tho it cost me my mancard...

on another note, i just received a care package of goodies from Mr. dibs, but i'm afraid to open it just yet.

i'll do that once the meds kick in, or after they wear off, or a bit of both...

thanks, dibby!

Yeah, the spring is primarily about "fatterness"; but it just so happens I got hold of some silver coated BeCu that's fat (but not rigid). The silver contacts are mostly about; "what metal conducts great, and doesn't need cleaning every two days?" It seems silver conducts better "tarnished" than most metals do clean. I'm testing that theory right now . . . .. . oh, and it's so hard . . . .. this vaping silver . . . . . it's a rough life, I'll tell you what.

Wow, care packages have changed a lot since I was active. But then, I lived on a ship. Hot-racking was not a good thing.

Didn't even have enough room for a poster, let alone a "pillow".

Trick question everyone: Who DOES NOT want an upgrade? Please post

Trick answer: Here's my NOT post: I was already dabbling in sub-ohm on my other two mechs, an Electric Angel and a GUS Lord. Both are good to very good performers. But I think my Santos Mahogany OliveR DIBI has spoiled me. It already hits harder (under less maintenance). Since I noticed a difference in the previous upgrade, I want every upgrade pdib comes up with.

Besides, I suspect it is pdib and his close associates who encouraged Rob into upgrading his BF mods. These folks are truly creative tinkerers and inventors.

The history of my life is filled with the inventors and musicians I've known. I have neither of these talents*, yet I tend to befriend such creative types. I would love to meet this group in real life.

*f'rinstance, even though I created my sig banner, it is waaay overdue for an overhaul. Maybe when Cobia season is over down heah?

The wood is bigleaf maple... 'gem' burl:).

MMM, mmm, mmmh. I knew that block of wood would look great after peter worked with it. Can't wait to see the finished piece. And I look forward to seeing what you plan to put on top of it!

More glass? Your special BF atty? Other???
