I have unscrewed attys and placed them on that cartotometer and the results were pretty close to the readings with the RM2 and copper leads but now I'm anxious to check too :)

haha, I was going to say the same thing turbo did, but then I realized that I was just being far too precise. It really isnt going to make that much of a difference, I have the same set up as Supe and my internal resistance is 0.015ohm. Its not like the Fluke meters (or really any DMM) that have a +/- 0.2ohm accuracy.

. . . . . . little segue back to this morning's conversation. (been doing the final ship-sies .. . all done . . . everybody's coming . . . :p) . . . . . . ←

I totally agree with what most of y'all were saying re: I neither need, want, nor would know what to do with a reviewer (Supe being the exception to the rule). I'd sooner go out of my way to avoid reviews at this point than to facilitate them. There's just no room for that kin'a stuff in this wee little thang we got goin' on here. That said, there is this one guy, who just so happens to be a reviewer. He and I have been chit-chatting, over the months. I joined his forum back before I ever launched this thread. He said nice things about my mods on his fackbook page. Anyway, he also happens to be a person (not just a reviewer), a person whom I like and appreciate, and he had asked to be put on the list to buy a mod sometime back. He didn't know when; but he did know he was eventually gonna get one. So, I told him we'd figure something out (list/order-wise) when he was ready to "knocker the McCraggedon" (or whatever it is they do): i.e. I gave him a floating spot on the list months ago. To be filled NOT by bumping someone else; but when it works out, with a drop-out or something.

btw: he does seem to have a propensity to drop by whenever people talk about him. . . . .. . . . . . . I think he's psychic or something.
(either that, or he understands how 'mputers work) ;)

Todd probably checks for his name every day:unsure:. He needs a dibi anyway and should buy one:p.

I'm going to start stalking the mailman now... even tho it's raining in Florida right now and we might be next to get washed away o_O.

Trunker's wife is going to get to say hello! As they watch that one!

Only thing i fear about a major review is an influx of unsavvy mech mod users jumping for one and turning our neat little hangout into green street hooligans 3 when they order without reading about the lead times.

If you are reading this Todd, please make note that this is a rolls royce and has the wait times of one! Squash that issue on the front end!

Even though no sig required, once again I get that ridiculous no authorized recipient denial. Guess tomorrow is the day...

So, I've sent out 3 runs now, and the USPS label printing continues to stupify me. I'm guessing (because it really does seem erratic, and I really am paying attention when I do it), that if a person wants to guarantee a "carrier leave", they need to ask me to put in a false value on the site (like, under $50). What this would mean, i imagine, is if the package was damaged or lost, insurance or no, the person would have absolutely no recourse with the P.O. Man. . . . . .. (or Woman). I'm not willing to downplay the value of the contents of someone else's package, and waive any rights to compensation that they may have unless I am specifically and clearly asked to do so.

bear in mind . . . .

Next run: big box 'o hamster bedding. Retail value: 12 cents.

They've thunder punched me in the D- k now twice. No insurance? Like they'll pay up under any but the most bossy of circumstances lol

My reading when I hold the leads together bounces all over the place then settles on .03. And other times it settles on .07.

Early on I tested it by putting the atty directly on it. It was giving a reading of like 1.37 with it on there and like 1.39 or 1.42 using the leads. Close enough for this kid. But I'm glad I checked and that would mean, splitting the difference, my coil is really about .04 ohms less than it tells me.

I like it. Hella convenient :). I will try to really tighten down the screws on my single conductor copper leads too and see if that helps :)
