I just built my v2 with a 1.4 ohm microcoil, 28g R and 30g NR around S&C cotton thread, and filled her up with Five Pawns Castle Long. I'm using the v2 on a Super-T Precise Simplicity 14500, the only mod I have in the size category of the v2.
I like a medium towards tight draw in general. I can get this easily with the new air control. Wide open is way too airy for me. If this is how all v2 Pennys are, I can't imagine how airy some folks like their draw, if they can't get it with the included air control of the drip tip. For lung hitters, I imagine this is heaven.
I love the air control itself - it turns easily, but stays in place so it won't accidentally unscrew and fall off, or move on its own and change the airflow. And it is much easier as an air control concept than the previous iterations, both in GG and non-GG attys. Simply put: I would want to see this air control on all my attys. For the record, I like the AC on the Ithaka, but found the justGG AC not quite as convenient - but I use it with the Ithaka, as I prefer the look over the knurled Ithaka ring (until I get the brass CR for the Ithaka).
In fact, I'd love to see an add-on that is a drip tip adapter air control, instead of a drip tip air control. This way, I get the air control feature, and use my own drip tip. The reason I'd like this is, like all small attys, the v2 runs kind of hot, and the drip tip can get a bit hot after a few vapes. This is why I prefer longer drip tips (60-90mm) for my small attys, like my Spheroids.
The vape is great, and I will experiment with different coils to get the optimal vape in the coming weeks.
It took a few minutes to get the right liquid flow, basically about half a turn or so from closed - almost identical to my Ithakas.
Building using a microcoil is just as easy as an Ithaka.
Flavor seems the same as Ithaka - I'm vaping them side by side, same coil setup, same juice, same resistance, with the Ithaka on a justGG.
