How long were they at customs, any info would be good to know?
customs um...yeah, yeah customs, it was customs holding on to them. Imeo has customs on speed dial on his cell phone, knows them all by first names and uses the code word GG if there is more than a 5 minute delay.

no info coming.

Poppa D ~ Tazz was being sarcastic. No one is going to give us the obvious truth.

Bruce may I suggest you communicate with your customers more then your usual one or two liners. Ive been buying from you for a few years now and have no problems with COV. I do now however due to lack of communication. I can wait for my Penelope V2 but it would have been nice to know what the delay is. My only other problem is the lack of GG parts you carry. I have brought this up several times and you still havent really addressed it.

It would be nice if you addressed all of this for you loyal customers. People are generally more understanding if they just know what is going on. :toast:

At this point if esmoke took debit cards I would probably switch to them since I dont have a paypal account and moneybookers doesnt work on their site. Bruce I hope everything is ok with you and COV, but remember communication goes a long way.

Imeo and Bruce. Here is what the problem is. Everyone who ordered from COV is still waiting on their preorder for the V2. Everyone else already has their V2 and they are talking about it on this thread.

The big problem is the lack of communication....People were asking and talking about it on the COV thread. But then they decided to close that thread due to people being too pushy.

They closed the COV thread thus cutting off more lines of communication. People who have the V2 are talking about it and the features, and they have every right to...but it's driving the COV preorder guys crazy.

The problem is now since the COV thread was closed....the COV guys are going to go to other threads like this one, or where ever the V2 is talked about and bring up their issues about the preorder from COV.

My question to Bruce is: How big of a bottle of juice are you sending out with the V2 preorder to make up for this mishap?

Juice? That would be a crap load of juice... and Just juice? This isn't the first time my friend. And, unfortunately the Customers and GG brand suffers again.

If you are still complaining that he received a product the day before he went to a vaping convention he had planned months in advanced when the product didn't get to him until a month after initial release was supposed to be then you should probably order from someone else.

Someone say juice? I have a delicious eggnog cheesecake going in the Penelope. Taste is great. The vapor is outstanding. And the other penny has El Kamino. Another fabulous performer.

I will save my words for a PM...wait an email so I can tell you what I really think :). You do know I only care about the Eggnog at this point. As the sample bottle I got last april or so from COV due to several mishaps is just about gone. No wait, I bet they still have some

Must be a slow day in Co if you are trying to guess.

I had actually forgot about that one - noted. Not even sure where you conjured that mess up or why.
Isn't this issue enough to qualify my statement?
I was not referring to any specific issues actually nor the personal mishaps that many of us were a part of. Accounts closing, Compromised accounts, orders not following through with. Having to get Imeo personally involved was terrible for him. He doesn't need this. No one does.
I was simply stating that many customers as you may have read right here on this thread have had no contact, the COV threads closed, rumors abound, etc.

Is this a good practice for resellers? Does it honor the builder? Is it good for Imeo and his success? Is it good that this is the second time that a vendor has let him down? Is this how you would treat customers?
Imeo deserves more and so do we. The consumer is the one paying the price for the product and paying the price for the poor service. The successful business models that I am aware of do not include pissing off a customer base and then trying to play catch up when they leave because of the substandard care.
You obviously have not had issue and if not, great.
I have ordered the bulk of my collection from Vasillis and another source. I have been known to order from COV from a self inflicted economic justification standpoint.

If you have not had the chance to order from guru you have not experienced the kind staff, the follow up emails, the return policy, the fast shipping to American soil, the laughs he shares, Isabella!, and no his bs policy. The man understands how to make his customers happy and serves Imeo with great respect as it is shared both ways.
Have you ever seen a negative post about guru? Nope. I haven't.
The Ithaka issue was a non issue....but, now that you mentioned it.
Have a fantastic day! :)

My guess is that many (including me) have been pushed into trying e-smoke over this. I have been surprised at how easy it is to do business there, how great the shopping experience is, and even how cheap the FedEx delivery is from there. I would further guess that many customers will elect to do their business there in the future. One reseller gains customers, one will lose some. Capitalism at its finest.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

(here's a wild prediction: esmokeguru will soon have the global exclusive on GG)

I'm feeling a bit underwhelmed with the whole experience at this point. When I started with GG everyone was so nice and willing to talk about grievances or problems they were having and issues they couldn't figure out. That's what drew me here and got me going on this venture.

It felt like I made a mistake recently complaining about my Ithaka leaking because of the replies I got and then I was tossed to the wind for speaking about my frustration with the new Penelope coming out. I still ordered it but what happened to the supportive side of this forum for when people had less than stellar things to say about a given product.

Again, this is what used to drive me to purchasing and loving when I could receive a product from Imeo.

What's happened guys?

Seems like we get our feet held to the fire for bringing up issues that frustrate us now. Before we would act as a team and work it out.

Whatever, too much drama in the world to have it here as well.

Once again, if I have misspoken, hold my feet as close as you can.

BTW- I'm not some weekend GG fan, I've been here for years.

Happy holidays.

Chris

Just a word about Bruce. I always give people the benefit of the doubt.
Until I'm proven wrong I'm a trusting soul. Maybe to a fault but we'll see.

I've gotten my share of disgruntled PMs from people. I've had my share of supportive PMs as well. I've received PMs stating they experience the very same thing I'm experiencing. But 5 minutes later, some of those people have completely done a 180 and gone public how they don't have problems.

Why? I have senses a "fear factor" in certain subjects. I KNOW I've raised enough hair and concern on the past and I KNOW some have witnessed this as one example and likely thought "I'm not bringing up my problem or I'll get the same look."

The supportive air has changed. Oh sure. There are some of the same supportive individuals. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I don't want to take away from the helpful posts and PMs I've received. But when someone PMs you after you raise a concern and says "easy. You're gonna cause waves" it draws against my helpful side. Waves?

Even a few pages back. A brass pin concern. I get the messages of "at least you have one". Or a suggestion on preorders "well because of you preorders are closed".

There are helpful corners. But the air is changing. And to be honest I'm hoping it's just because the whole preorder in the states has gone sideways. And why is that. I will say it again. COMMUNICATION! I have said this before, I say this now, and I'll say it in the future. If a company doesn't communicate, it will lose trust. Will it lose ALL customers? No. But if 50% of the customers leave sometimes a business cannot sustain itself on what's left.

There was a MAJOR problem in COMMUNICATION between Imeo, Bruce and the customers. Neither has even attempted to validate the customers who shelled out over $120 for one Penelope. And how many preordered more than one? They don't deserve to be frustrated because Bruce won't say more than "they are coming" or Imeo shuts down one thread at a time until they spill over into the Penelope support thread? THIS thread should be sharing support and excitement about Penelope. not frustration over customer service and "where's my money?" But it seems easier to hide behind the curtain than to address everyone and bring some assurance.

I'll leave now and go clear my inbox. I'm sure I'll get a few "amens" and a few "how dare yous" soon enough. The business model has to change. I'm sorry but it's true.

I'll say Amen in the open Bo!!!
It's different now and communication is far from where it once was. I'm not going to fall for negative PM's. I wish we were all talking about our amazing new devices and helping one another out without fear of being chastised for our experiences. A+1 my friend.
