Great to see we broke 15k. I'm following it but not out promoting it as its my first wedding anniversary. ( wife is showering or I'd get nagged for just posting lol)I have one local shop where every employee signed(35ppl) and the manager Is going to get the owner to send it out as part of their news letter. Will be hitting 5 other shops this week so hopefully Ivan get at least 100 right off and a few mor to send it out to customer email lists[emoji41].
Awesome and Happy Anniversary!

We just celebrated our 8th last week :)

Even around these parts(ECF) there are many who don't understand. There are those who say "regulation is a good thing" and I assume they mean that some form of common sense standards that would actually give us things that we want, like standardized information labels(though we don't all agree what should be on them) would be good. I have to assume that they don't mean that draconian regulations DESIGNED to keep the status quo of 2007 big tobacco, are good for the vaping industry.

If it only were that. :p
In sweden there's not a single good word about vaping in the media. And i assume that's why our community is quite small. about 2-3k ppl or so (probably some more in the shadows but well)
And where i live there's like 3-5 other vapers i know of.
So yea when i vape in public i've to held lectures basicly every day. ^^

Even some relatives i tried to convince about vaping swallowed medias propaganda... Well what can i do? Other than let em continue to smoke. Altho i don't want em to.
i'm realy close to convince my mom though, after one year of " you should try this etc". Her issue is (or rather her excuses) is that she want it all to be realy simple. I've tought her everything... But she refuses to learn an easy task such as switching out a coil... So i'm not sure how i'ma convince her more than that. I can provide with juices etc, but if switching a coil and charge the battery is to much of a hassle... i dunno. And she's not old at all either compared to some of our fellow EFC'ers :)

So atleast in sweden it's hard to get the cause done or how i should say it. :/

I understood you :) Isn't snus really big there? If people understand the benefits of snus, but don't understand the benefits of vaping, show them how America treats snus, our government equates it to smoking, just like they do vaping.

We have a hard road ahead of us, it seems like every major outfit, from BG to BP to BT to the media, they're all against vaping. We have to change minds, one at a time.

As for vaping being too much to learn... most smokers will use any excuse. My wife still smokes, I could do EVERYTHING for her and she still wouldn't vape right now, she's not ready to make the switch. She does accept that it's safer/better, she's signed and tried really hard to spread the petition, but she has other reasons to continue smoking that are personal to her.

Yea well snus is a common thing i'd say. But it's not endorsed to use. Anything with tobacco is heavy taxxed ( i kid you not)
I wish we had the same view on snus as other countries have. The snus "demonization" isn't as bad as say smokes, but not endorsed. (If u smoke/snus you pay extra tax in your insurance also)
Vaping however is basicly 2-3x worse than smoking if you're to believe the media. (Our media is a super big joke, could make a huuuuuge post about that but well.)
Media reads 1 sentance of the verdict in say a ecigg research. The only part that's bad they make a post about, and increases it by 10.
Now i'm going way aboard but it's kind of like this "E-cigg will explode in your face soon as you take a puff" or "E-cigg contains " cooler fluid" E-cigg contains xxxxxxxxxxxx <- which doesn't or about 100 levels under a normal ciggarette. They never compare it to a cigg...(And this is infuriating...)

Also snus causes x and y here, yet it's proven it doesn't.

PS. Excuse my grammar or / spellings atm, i'm tired atm and didn't bother recheck my WOT. :)
(Funny note: Sweden wants to make e-juice as a medicine. As it looks atm it might go through. If it does we need a recipy to even buy the juice.) But it mostly depends on the EU reg, which sadly will go through as it looks like atm.

there are more and more people Vaping every day here in NS I personally know of 10 nurses and two doctors I suspect there will be much back and forth with scare tactics and taxes up the gazoo but in the end I think Vaping will prevail. It works, it is easy to make your own ejuice even if nic has to be sourced from the black market which I suspect it will if taxed too much, it is less of a fire hazard than smoking.

Vaping is like the model t Ford it is here to stay. The switch over from horse and buggy to automobiles might get a little glitchy though:)

Well it is almost July. Time for my monthly email on vaping and other stuff to go to my reps. My governor I can't stand even though he is gearing up for a presidential run. I dont quite understand him. Only thing I like is he is pro business.

I was thinking about sending a link with the petition but then I thought maybe I should wait till you hit the button. Whatcha think.. you want me to wait until after you send it off?

There is but one basic reason that vaping is being opposed by governments, politicians, and TC bureaucrats around the world: There is no money in it for them.
Continued tobacco use is a cash cow for them, and vaping is leading that cow to slaughter.

I think it's a little early to be sending it off. 15K is fantastic, in less than a week, and with this crowd that it's hard to get motivated to do anything, but I don't think it's quite in the realm of being impressive to those pulling the strings, YET.

Since it will likely be a few months before anyone besides the OMB sees the final rules, I think it will be good to keep gathering as much support as possible. That way when it's right there in front of them, we can hit them with "Here are all of these people who think you should vote this down."

But, I am just one person, and while my name(thanks changedotorg) is on the petition, this is OUR movement.

I had a law prof tell us to walk into court with as much paperwork you can, the theory was the more you had the better your chances to win, I see this no differently!

I don't really want to call anyone out publicly.

It's ok, we're doing well without "outside" help. As long as people keep signing and sharing, it will grow.
That's okay, plenty of time to lynch them later

I imagine no one has asked yet.

Every time I've asked for something to be made an "announcement" it has been.
I'm not saying it is just because I asked though, as I imagine others were asking as well.
I'm pretty sure Robin said she'd PMed (whatever) him about it. I haven't seen him logged in since. Maybe we scared him off? Kidding.

Did any Member put the Petition Link in their Signatures?

I don't see Signatures because I have them Turned Off.
It's in mine.

Thank you everyone for keeping the momentum going. SJ has been asked, though I'm not sure if he's seen the request yet. I'm not one to overly bug people, though what you all choose to do is your own business ;)

Remember, even if none of your friends smoke/vape if they know you and love you, they may be willing to help. Most people just don't know what it means when they say they are going to "regulate e-cigarettes like tobacco." If you let them know, they may think it's worth stopping.
Bill G. said that it will be about three months after it goes to the White House for it to move on. Just wondering if it might have more punch if we waited for a more public campaign after the news stories begin to appear about it. Just a thought.

Woot no cigars until 25000?
No. You can have one after the 1 millionth signer, but you will have to go outside to smoke it.

Yeah, I'm still going to be promoting this every day, but I'm glad I went with this petition site over the others. Since there is no built in time limit or hard goal we have to meet, we can keep it growing with whatever we can get for as long as we need to.

If it's another 3 months before the rules get to congress, I imagine/hope we'll have a lot more than 15,000 signatures to shove in their faces by then.
