petition needs your signature

I went and signed it back when there were only 700-some signatures, and have been watching it ever since. I'm not on any kind of social media, no one I know personally would care a whit about this (they're all non-smokers), and the only other forum I'm a regular on doesn't allow anything even remotely political, which they would say this is. I wish there was more I could do, but I can't think of anything.

However, I second the idea of making it an "announcement" thread. I was also thinking that maybe not everyone here was seeing it, if they mostly prefer to hang out in other areas of the forum.

One problem is that a lot of members don't come to the General vaping forum, and might not know about this petition. That's why it would be great if @SmokeyJoe would make this a global thread, so that it would be seen on all forums. Of course, he might have reasons for not doing this.

Remember, even if none of your friends smoke/vape if they know you and love you, they may be willing to help. Most people just don't know what it means when they say they are going to "regulate e-cigarettes like tobacco." If you let them know, they may think it's worth stopping.

Even around these parts(ECF) there are many who don't understand. There are those who say "regulation is a good thing" and I assume they mean that some form of common sense standards that would actually give us things that we want, like standardized information labels(though we don't all agree what should be on them) would be good. I have to assume that they don't mean that draconian regulations DESIGNED to keep the status quo of 2007 big tobacco, are good for the vaping industry.

If you're asking what the "end" goal is, my personal goal is 1M signatures, or congress voting down the deeming regs, whichever comes first.
The NFL petition took 3 years to get to 420K

Great to see we broke 15k. I'm following it but not out promoting it as its my first wedding anniversary. ( wife is showering or I'd get nagged for just posting lol)I have one local shop where every employee signed(35ppl) and the manager Is going to get the owner to send it out as part of their news letter. Will be hitting 5 other shops this week so hopefully Ivan get at least 100 right off and a few mor to send it out to customer email lists[emoji41].
