the 200k members includes members going back to the beginning of the site... I'm not sure even admins can tell how many of those still visit the site with any regularity, but I'm still sure the number must be a LOT bigger than the number of signatures we've got on the petition, so go get 'em Jode! lol

Of course, I wasn't think of that. I bet that there are more then 15k that do post on almost any given day so the numbers just don't seem to be adding up. I could be very wrong, maybe the number here is much smaller. Keeping the faith, however, and grateful to all that do take this seriously and do what they can.

I'm a web developer so I'll tell ya in simple terms, cuz you'll probably see this more and more as 'bots (robots, web crawlers) take over the internet :

There's good 'bots and bad 'bots - the good ones come from places like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. - they look a website over, gather information and links, and use that information for their search results.

The bad ones are looking for email addresses (that they put onto spam lists), or forms they can use to submit spammy comments, or indications that a website might have a vulnerability that they can utilize to hack the site and take it over for their evil purposes.

I hate bad 'bots!!

Crap - thanks guys. The change.org site has been glitchy all week, and created multiple copies when Lessifer posted it. I somehow grabbed one of the bad links. Thanks for letting me know. I just fixed it - and this time I will TEST it lol.

What I don't get is this..... ECF has over 200k members. Why is petition slowing at 15k a mere fraction of that. Come on all you lovely people, get out of your shells and read it, sign it, and pass it on. Am I missing something here? I am going to try to figure out how to put this petition in my sig like I see so many others doing. The Old Forum software used to have the Total Membership. And the Active Members. And the Active mebers were maybe 1/10th of the Total Members.

Don't quote me on this. But I think that an Active Member was someone who had posted at least Once in the Last 90 Days.

Every time I've asked for something to be made an "announcement" it has been.
