Was hoping to see 15,000 this morning. Sadly it is slowing down. Would be great if we could all get our favorite venders to send the link to everyone on their mailing list. I am trying to get a couple of mine involved. This is in their best interest too.

So, it has slowed down. Some of that is to be expected, and some of that is due to the site issues yesterday. After a truly explosive first day it's easy to see the trickle as a bad thing, but the signatures are still coming in.
I've contacted a few reviewers but I've only received a response from one, and that was a no. MBV did let me post the link to their page, and they said they'd take a look at the petition. I'm assuming that the lack of response from the more official groups is a gentle "no" and at least they're not asking us to stop.
If we want this to continue to grow, I think we may be on our own. I still think we can do this. I want to keep the petition going until the final rules are released. If that's a month from now and in a month we have 50k or 100k or 1M signatures, at least those people will know what's going on, and if we DO get a large amount of signatures, fantastic.
That super fast start was encouraging, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. I'm willing to keep at this if you all are.

What you are seeing is the Natural Progression of things. Even CASAA sees this kind of stuff. That is why they wait till a few days before anything happens in the battle at the State level. If they post a CTA too soon, the interest drops off after a couple of days. Just the nature of the beast.
I just posted it to my twitter. It wouldn't let me for little while, and I don't know why, but I hope it helps and some people on there sign it. Still trying to post it to my face book, but having some trouble still with that one. I'm going to keep trying.

Just curious, is there any limit that needs to be reached before you get your voiced opinion?

With this particular petition site I can send it along to the intended recipients at any time, so there isn't a specific goal we have to reach. More is definitely better in this case though. You can use this site for anything from a local issue(needing say 500) to a worldwide issue with over 1M signatures.Just curious, is there any limit that needs to be reached before you get your voiced opinion?

My current thoughts are, keep this going until the final regulations are released, at which time congress should be looking at them and deciding whether or not to approve them. I'm sure once that happens, the advocacy groups will send out CTA's asking us to contact our legislators letting them know how we feel. The reason I'm starting this now is, I think it's going to take time to gather support. Once the FDA releases the final regs, there is a very limited window where congress can approve, deny, or simply let them stand.

Reason why i wonder is due we (Eu) needed 1 milion votes to get the voice heard. :-/
