A pack a day smoker, if you average out the price of cigarettes in the US to...I dunno...$7...can buy a new Provari Radius every month. Pretty crazy if you ask me. A pack a day smoker in NYC can buy a Boss 3000 LE or AsMODus Minikin Kodama and *insert random plus-$50 rda here* MONTHLY.
And add a spouse, it gets crazy.

I spend a crap ton of $$$ on vaping gear. But not $7000/yr!

Yes its spending lots of $$$, but not smoking is more than enough justification for me!

Nice. You did good!

Best advice I can give you IS to watch a YouTube video or two and really understand what power to vape at and how to change/prime coils on your specific device.

I burned 3 of my first 4 coils and was using the wrong wattage. Super easy to do.

Also, if anything gets stuck or leaks, do a search instead of forcing or breaking anything.

I would have saved a lot of $$$ if I wasn't so damned impatient/excited with my first mod!

Do u think I should wait to use it with a more "advanced" tank or will my simple evod tank work?

I would buy a better tank but an Evod would work for now. Just don't set the wattage too high. Likely 8-13w if your coils are in the 1.8ohm range.

You can't hurt the mod or yourself unless you try to vape at 100w or in TC (temp control) Mode and even then, it will just cook your coil likely.

Thanks, BreSha, I'll let you know how it works once it's done charging. Do you have any recommendations on what kind of tank I should get?
I appreciate the very specific information on what range watts to Vape at!

I'm not BreSha....lol....but I would recommend a triton Mini and some 1.8ohm BVC Nautilus coils.

If you haven't used subohm tanks, I would stick to something like a Nautilus or Triton.

That mod would be great with a Smok TFV8 Big Baby Beast or Baby Beast, but both are made for high wattage, low resistance, very open airflow vaping.

My wife uses Triton Minis with 1.8ohm coils @ 13w and my TFV8 blows her head off.

If you have a good local vape shop, I would go look at a bunch of different ones.

So dumb question: the ego aio has 0.5 ohm coils, is that not considered sub ohm?

Enjoy and let us know how it is...

It's a 0.5 ohm coil but it reads 1.92 ohms...?
Also, the worst, hottest hit I'd ever had... any ideas of what I did wrong?

Not sure if my previous reply shows up. I just had the driest hardest hit ever. I obviously did something wrong. I know that the coil in there is 0.5 ohms, but it's reading 1.92 ohms.
I wonder what went wrong?

I doubt it is a 0.5ohm coil. I would guess it is a 1.8.

Always go by what the mod reads the coil at. I would vape that at 12w.

Much better but still a little burned taste, should I go lower than 12w?
I really appreciate the advise, thank you very much!

The coils in those were never .5Ω - either 1.6 or 1.8
1.8 is ballpark.
Try it at 8W and adjust up. I'd bet it won't be enjoyable over 10-11W
