It'll be my age, me being ancient and all, but sometimes something old style just kind of talks to me, so today's vape is an original Vivi Nova, wicks and all, atop my 30w iStick ... and with a bit of patience and swirling it from time to time to keep the wick wet it actually delivers not a bad vape!

2.8 Ohm coil running at a hefty 5.1 watts!

As ever have a great day all!

I still have a couple of those Vivi Novas around. It's what I started with. I also remember those pieces of broken silica wick being in my juice. yuck.

Well if you ever want to chat about VapourArt gear then just send me a message. I can talk about this stuff for hours. :D

I'm also curious if you've ever come across anything that vapes like a Heron 1.5. The closest I found was Titanium Mods Ukraine Prometey III. That RTA uses filler material just like you can use with the Heron's and Spheroid. Also it's gravity fed wicking too. Sadly they don't make that version anymore.

I've ordered a Flash-e-vapor clone, it seems like it may offer a similar style of vape and at the price is worth trying out.

The Kayfun Prime with the alternative air nozzles for NET tobacco almost has a similar flavour profile as the Heron with some juice, but the standard airflow which comes as default is nothing like it.

If I'd known at the time VapourArt were going to close I would have bought more Heron 1.5's. But they stopped stocking it apart from some parts and had moved on to the V2. I got my 1.5 from a listing on another vape forum.

Sorry, I don't do PM's on ECF anymore, not for a very long time. But I'll try to address your question here...

Since non of my Heron's worked for my DLH style, I saw no difference between my V1.5 and the one or two of the three V2's I actually tried out. So I can't recommend anything at all that might MTL vape like a V1.5. I do know that VA no longer stocked or sold any complete V1.5's by the time I first started buying from them May 2014 (don't remember if they stocked any parts for them though). But I got the V1.5 with the two different V1.5 & V2 bells as an updated Heron from Perseas himself around the same time. VA didn't lock down their forum here until Jan 31, 2018 and no longer conducted business on ECF after that date (in fact I made the last post to the forum). Perseas could still be reached by customers elsewhere for awhile (FB and some EU forum maybe???), then closed their operations for good sometime later. We could and did still converse privately occasionally for some time before we finally lost touch. He is one of the two most stellar people in the business I was fortunate enough to get to know personally.

FWIW for over a year and I half I have only DLH vaped mesh RDA's and RTA's, so we are worlds apart in vaping. I no longer use round/ribbon wire, wrap coils or use atty's that run them (although all of my mesh top gear due to their clamping systems could run coils instead of mesh strips to power them). This mesh gear was a game changer for me (I have 26 atty's that run mesh), so doubt I'll ever go back to coil gear.

A small vapemail package from Greece way back when that I think included the 3 Heron V2's, a Spheroid and spare parts. Small in size, not cost... the Euro was very strong against the USD back then.
