I still think the noist cricket 2 (25) is one of jaybo's best designs. Love that mod

Never saw or tried a NC 2-25 in person. I only have the two OG NC's (and they both do have the Fat Daddy Vapes Upgrade Kits). I haven't used them for a very long time though.

CSMNT on my Vindicator and some of my favorite Frosted Flakes.

I got a lot of use out of my CSMNT back in the days when I used it (from very early 2017). At the time it was a favorite. Here it's on a Ltd.Ed. VGOD 120W TC Mod.

I guess the Topsides were just a flash in the pan since they are all but forgotten by most folks now days. But I am still loving my Topsides that have been in my rotations for about 11 months now. I run Digiflavor Mesh Pro's and favored DIY's on mine.

I just love the way you can choose a parallel or series configuration on the NC 2 and with the series config you can choose either "mech" mode or VV mode. It hits incredibly fast and you have safety features plus battery readout without a screen. JayBo did a good explanatory video on release. Builds from about 0.2 to 0.6 are perfect.
It's also very small and slim for a dual 18650 mod (but not as small or light as the OG) and feels solid and hefty.

I still use one of my 25s occasionally and keep the other virgin in it's unwrapped plastic box

Can easily see why you like the improvements on the newer NC. What I like about it is some safety built in for those uninformed folks who could and probably would easily get bit by an OG NC that has virtually none.

I don't run any builds at or above .2Ω anymore. I only run BF mesh RDA's on regulated and mech squonk mods and mesh RTA's on regulated mods in the .12Ω-.18Ω range now days.

It's the stable/flexible vape in series VV that I really like about the NC 2.

That really interests me that you've gone down the mesh route. I haven't tried mesh rebuildables but seeing reviews of the Profile made me curious. The spring idea to keep the cotton in constant contact is clever.
My main daily vapes at the moment are my Billet Box with a vapeshell RBA running little Nichrome fused claptons at about .06 Ohms and a Zeus X with dual Nichrome aliens at about 0.2 Ohms.

I had to think about that flash in the pan remark. But you’re probably right. I have two singles and a dual, and while I’m using one of them, I’m thinking it’s a right fine mod. But they’re not the first thing I want to show someone when I show off my mods. I think they lack sex appeal or something lol.

And speaking of lacking sex appeal... :D

But it’s a very nice vape. Uwell Soulkeeper with .Blank and some DIY peanut butter pie. I never used to love drippers, but I do seem to get my test batches tested and used up lately. I hate to think how many tiny dropper bottles I need to wash.

Mesh first started to become my game changer over two years ago, and took over all my vaping when the Digiflavor Mesh Pro RDA's came out in December 2017. I have 29 mesh atty's now, mostly BF RDA's but also six non BF Profile Unity RTA's (and ten of my mesh RDA's are also Profile's). The Profile Mesh RDA is the ideal starting place with mesh RDA's as they are as easy as they can get. My other mesh RDA's are fire breathing dragons that you have to learn how to tame. I run my mesh RDA's on 18650 and dual parallel 18650 mech squonk mods, 2X700 regulated squonk mods... the RTA's on regulated TC and squonk mods.

I don't see myself ever going back to wrapped coil gear.

Some of the gear that I use daily/nightly...

The 'boxiness' of them doesn't really bother me. Their functionality is more important.

Besides, while I'm not an Edsel, Studebaker or Rambler quite yet, I'm also no longer a Ferrari either. :) Sex appeal doesn't matter much to me anymore, not near this end of the trail. I leave that to folks who are younger in heart, in years, etc.

Decisions. On the right we have a nice Telecaster pickup set, hand wound by Gemini Pickups in upstate NY. He calls it the "Green Meanie" set, so they're definitely oriented towards a classic rock, with just the right amount of dirt. Lower left is a Hot Stack For Tele, a now discontinued monster of a ceramic humbucker in a Telecaster bridge sized package. Wound to an insane 21K, this will give you clean and loud, so you can feed it to your pedal board and grind it up. Haven't decided what to pair it with with if I choose that one.

Sort of in the center is a Warwolf with a Serpent Elevate.
