My "Ladies of the Lamplight" - roll on payday on the 21st and I'll have the Project of getting mods to fit the last of my oversize TPD Zeniths completed.

Been vaping the Legend since lunch time Saturday and I'm not yet half way through the batteries - this thing is truly amazing!

Nice combo. Now to download some themes from escribe to play with, it's alot of fun customizing the display.

Thanks, I’m liking it so far. It’s my first dna color mod, haven’t hooked it up to escribe yet, but I will.

That’s what I like about them!
You would have been about that age at that time, I'm thinking. Here @icepickmaker84 is complaining about having missed the 70's. It wasn't all metal and science fiction. It was also My Little Pony, and the Bay City Rollers.

People think that I just sit around and play guitar, and that test play just means strumming out some tunes. Actually, test play is definitely more work than play. I have two little medleys that I play on every guitar every time I play them. Then I do a "ring test" on all 126/132/144 fret positions. I measure action height, check the intonation, and then I get to play something else.

Then I rub the finish down before putting them back in their case or hanging them back up. Along the way, I usually want some thick hits, since I'm not able to vape too much during the process. A Goon 1.5 on my brass CONSRVR mod does the trick. The Serpent RDTA on the SMPL mod is for more "normal" hits.

I HATE metal...for the most part but I can dig some My Little Pony. Really I just missed the weed culture and bell bottom jeans of the 70’s.

What's interesting is if you were able to go back to the 70's and ask members of bands like Judas Priest and Black Sabbath what sort of group they were in, they'd tell you, to a man, that they were in a blues band. Which they were.

Then you could turn on the TV and watch "My Little Pony" commercials, shown at the frequent commercial breaks during "American Bandstand". You could see the live footage of members of the Bay City Rollers getting pulled offstage by teenage girls. Even though they lost their guitars, they were still playing. Still singing, even without being near a microphone.

As a drummer I was more into blues, jazz, and swing. The guy in the pic (taken at PASIC 2009/10) is a relatively well known session drummer (I wish I could remember his name) and the guys I worked with just informed me as such, they thought it was funny to bring people over and watch me go speechless.
When I met Ed Shaughnessy I was introduced to him by the President of Ludwig Drums, I still tear up thinking about being introduced as someone that knew Ludwig drums so well his customers emailed the company regularly lol. Good times.
