Don't know if anyone has ever told you this, but in the event of a drop, placing the vape band on the glass can increase the risk of cracked glass...it focuses the shock directly to it. Placing it over the upper metal portion on the other hand, will decrease chances of cracked glass.

I had not heard that before, so thank you for the info. I will move it up. This really is the only setup I use a band on. It must be the weight or something, but I knock this one over way more then everything else I have.

I love the look of this in wood, I could only find the black resin when they first came out.

Is it real wood or something else? Real wood and I may just have to go shopping for another one.

It's not real wood.

The gloss black started chipping off so I refinished it myself.
