This evening I'm trying out the Merlin Nano RTA (atop a cthulhu tube mod with a LiFePO4 18650) --- has a 2.5mm coil of 24g kanthal, 6 wraps for 0.55 ohms. The first two wickings were insufficient, but third time was the charm and it is holding fluid and vaping well:

I have the smallest airflow insert installed (1mm single hole) and it is pretty tight, might try the 1.2mm or the dual 1mm insert next time. Otherwise, very smooth airflow and good flavor. Too early to say for sure, but one of these is definitely a candidate for the new pipe when it arrives.

Christi hypercar.JPG

I've shown you a couple of other pics of Christi with setups. Finally, the finish cured to the point where I was comfortable with loading the body. The finish took over 2 months to cure, which is odd. Here at 5000' and 25% humidity, this particular finish usually cures in a week or two. Oh well, each piece of wood is different.

I need to fix a minor wiring problem, then I'm going to mount the neck. Hopefully soon, she'll be singing. I'll post a pic of the whole guitar later. With a setup, of course.

Speaking of...that's one of my crew members that helped me get through work. A Uwell Hypercar with a Joyetech ProCore Air Plus.

It looks like next week now. I had to order a switch, which I'll get Monday or Tuesday. So I ordered some American made knobs as well. I see that I didn't mention that Christi is my first "All American" guitar. The wood is all from the US, and so is everything attached to it. Even the strap pegs were made by a machine shop in San Diego. That's why I had to order the switch and knobs. I was out of American made switches and knobs. I had some CA made Dakaware knobs, but I guess that I used them all.

In fact, I just realized what I did with the last pair of Dakaware knobs. I used them on Valeri, pictured below, along with my latest crew member, a Vindicator with a Melo 3.

Valeri is my first lefty pinecaster. My 7th lefty, out of over 100 guitars. So I vowed to do a lefty every third project or so. The pine body is amazingly resonant, they frequently sound like small acoustics when they're not plugged in.

I still have to do some neck fitment, but I'm hoping to finish her soon, as well.

The saga continues...
Bathroom matches.JPG

"Well...at least this vape thingy matches the bathroom set"

That's actually my real bathroom setup (What? You don't have a bathroom setup?)--a Teslacigs Terminator with a Melo 3 Mini. Nice vape, and it matches the bathroom set. :D
