I refreshed my black & my "orange" Boxer mods with Rit dye.
I'm not crazy about the shade but it looks better than before IMO.
Faded after cleanup - pic from 2017

I bought it DOA from a mechanic for $40.
He had let it get so grungy that the magic smoke escaped.

It was scorched, grungy & faded

Now it's rockin'

My husband used to call me to the den and show me a pretty piece of jewelry. “I thought you’d like this!” He bought me little trinkets from eBay all the time. And I never nagged him about his collection, lol. He had a good friend who was a fellow coin collector. He’d ask him to bring some jewelry to the shows to keep me occupied so I didn’t notice how much stuff he was buying. I noticed, but I never said a word.

We’re not so mysterious, really.

Now I’ll get kicked out of the Intergalactic Women’s Guild for spilling secrets.

I do know this tactic and I went the whole 9 yards and got her a Johnny Was jacket/duster for our 9 year anniversary and an early Christmas gift. This token of my love was not at all solely to get what I want, but it will play it's part I am getting really, really good at seeing clothes and knowing instantly that it is totally her and she'll love it. She loves that I can do that.

Jewelry, I'm not as good at. I'm much more conservative in jewelry tastes, so it reflects in looking at stuff for her. I got her a "poison" ring too!
