Off to help judge an elementary school science fair setup, I do my Mom a favor and Hunter entertains her class ha ha. Pulse X with Pulse v2
Like the mods but OMG what a lovely finish on that guitar - that'll not hang around too long!
Pretty much. I've been buying pine bodies from a guy who does nothing but pine guitar bodies for some years now. He's a luthier, but he's never actually ever built a guitar, and has no plans to. The way I order my bodies is to tell him what routing I want done to the blank. Usually neck pocket, pickup routes, and control route. Neck pocket rout at the very least. That's the most problematic rout, and I'd rather that he do it while the wood is still his.Do you cut the body shapes?
If someone wanted a body completely routed out to use as say a try, could you have that done?I can ship to Scotland. The wood is reclaimed pine, so it already has some age to it. I've worked on perfecting my finishes over the years. Pine isn't easy to get it finished until it shines. Even then, pine is very porous and not very oily, so finishes can just "disappear" over the course of a few weeks. Then I'm back to it with the oils and rubbing until it stays.

When I get the body blank, it could be some rather odd shapes indeed, since he's working with reclaimed pine. This one was sort of a skinny parallelogram. Pine is both easy and very difficult to work. When I finish cutting the shape, it's usually pretty raggedy.
That would be a lot of work using a hand router. Which is why I have the guy who owns the big stuff do the big routs. I do smaller routs, like bridge routs and wire channels. If someone wanted a body completely routed out to use as say a try, could you have that done?
I got those coils from Amazon too! Finally got some badly needed coils yesterday. I have 4 rda's that are in serious need of attention. Guess I'll call today, "Build Friday".Anyone feel like having a build party with me?

Morning Rob. I think I paid $25 for 10 tins with 9 coils ea, I went with the variety pack. They’re great coils and the flat ribbon coils are really nice but come to like .12 a set.Good morning Nick! How much did you pay for them on Amazon? I got them at my local vape shop for $9.00.

I get the most from my Prime membership, I can even find my fav southern grocery store snack mix on there lol. The vape shop I go to the most sells Demon Killer coils for $1ea, after I saw the little case they were in I hopped on Amazon and bought the entire set for $10. Enjoy your rebuilds, hope to see some picsThat's a much better price than I paid. There are 20 coils in my tin, so .45 each. Glad you like them. Can't wait to get my rda's back in service.
