It is really hard to read the forum, drink coffee and count puffs at the same time- especially when I’m not caffeinated enough to be coordinated. But I got 170 puffs on the first full charge(had 86 right out of the box). I ran the battery all the way down this time- until it gave the typical dead battery repeated blinking. I’ve got the USB plugged into a wall adapter this time.

I’ve got two cartos in rotation. So far I’ve only used the prefill flavor ( I like it). but I’ve refilled the first with choco banana (V4L), and will probably refill the second with a mix of mint(V4L), tobacco (V4L) and VG based worther’s (from totally twisted). I can’t tell the difference whether I leave the rings and mesh in or take them out. So I’m leaving them in for now.

I do like the PB. I’ve been showing it off, and I’m wishing I had a second one, so I wouldn’t have to wait for the battery to recharge.

@basement cat- glad to hear your daughter is OK.

So I do see what some of you are saying about the threads. There seems to be rough spots or burrs in them......for those of you who do not have other SS batteries.....this does look like an issue specific to the PB.....it isnt the cartos and the other SS batteries dont feel like this. I will be sure and point this out to Bill. I will also go through all the posts so far and pick out specific questions. I'm using Tiburons idea with a twist,....I will pick out questions and comments, make a master list and post it in a closed thread....the everyone can just check in once and awhile and read the whole thing including my or Bills answers. Does that sound like something that would work for you all and make it easier ?

hat probably would work and make a lot of sense... this way if this thread gets derailed or off topic a bit... We would all have one place just to reference the PitBull Q & A's and opinions

I don't understand....derailed? off topic ???? how could that happen? :facepalm::lol:

Ok so my daughter and wife are finally asleep. She is feeling better. Finally watch the clock on the charge time. 2 hours 54 minutes on it's 3rd charge. Wasn't able to do a puff count today due to being in the hospital most of the day but will start that again tomorrow. I am also wondering about hard draw? Mine seems far too airy and I really gotta hit it super light to get good vapor. I am guessing this is just a carto issue considering it really couldn't be the battery. Anyhow the battery most definitely out lasts my joye standard 510. It in fact last approximately 2-3 hours longer than my 510. As far as being an auto bat this is the only one I've even like at all and honestly I love it. If I could make it produce more vapor than my riva I would definitely be using it more often just based off how badass it looks hanging from my lips. Heh. The batteries do act funny though. My normal bats (510 and riva) once they do their death flash that's it until they charge, the pb will still flash every time i try to hit it afterwards and if i let it sit a few minutes works some more before flashing again. Thinking that it doesn't have a shutdown for some reason. Also like I posted before my charger never turns blue unless the bat is unplugged and I noticed tonight the led ash cap was pulsing slightly just before it turned off (done charging). So I'm assuming that when the ash led goes off it's safe to assume it's charged? Anyhow all in all this has become my "driving/going out and about" e cig. Once I get vapor production a lil higher (possibly by emptying and using another carto) it might be my all day user. Only time will tell.

Just for everyones info on the charger turning blue from red...don't pay too much attention to the charger...just look for the LED to turn off...the charging system control on most of the E-cigs are in the e-cig itself...so it's really not that important that the charger itself turns color....if you see the LED off on the battery....it's good to go....LoriK was right about not being too concerned about chargers turning colors...it's really not important....and thanks to you all for the valuable feedback...we do appreciate your taking the time to help us out...Cheers!!

Hello Bill!! I don't think we've had a chance to meet before, and I just wanted to thank you personally for being given this wonderful opportunity to participate in the Pitbull beta-test... Lorikay has been working very hard to see that things run as smoothly as possible, which is no easy task!! But from my understanding, none of this would have been made possible without you and your generosity... So THANKS AGAIN!!

As for the charger issue, The LED on my Pitbull never really did go completely out... At almost exactly 2.5 hrs. it started blinking at random, along with the charger light changing from red to blue, the two of them alternating back and forth.

I was using it on an old Dell laptop which is connected directly to the power source. The USB port is on a separate card and is not connected to the main circuit board... I understand the basics of 'trickle-down charging', but I decided to give it a little more time just to see what happened.
After about another 15 min. the alternating blinks started slowing down and held for a fraction of a sec. at times, then after another 15 min. (a full 1/2 hr. past the first blinking) It held for 1-2 secs. and I figured that was long enough.
I am ready for another charge, but am expecting an AC/USB wall adapter in the mail today <fingers crossed> so I thought I would hold off until then...

I've only been vaping for about 5 weeks now, so I really don't have much to compare the PB to, but I guess that can work to my advantage in some ways.
All I can say for now is that the more I use it, the more I love it!!! I only wish I didn't have to keep going back to my 510 while it charges... But I'm not complaining, mind you!!!!!

As promised here is the deal I have worked out for you......dont thank me.....I just asked....Bill is the one who came up with the price. And before you ask...NO...it isnt in place yet. I am letting the webmaster get some sleep......I think I may have fried his brain a little this week...so he needs to recharge. Look for it by Monday.

For ECF beta testers.....Pink or Gold batteries.....$15 plus shipping. They will be on the ECF page. There is no limit on how many you can buy....but when they are gone....they are gone. The usual warranty applies with one exception.....you must notify us within 24hours of receiving the battery if it's DOA. No exceptions. Lifetime warranty applies with the standards all our other customers follow....you must be purchasing the equivalent of $50 worth of supplies from us every six weeks...NOT including the batteries. You use our cartomizers....the batteries are warrantied for life. But like I said...when they are gone...thats it for those colors. Hope this helps those of you who do not have another battery to compare your PB to.

here is a tip for you regarding these batteries.....personally....when I get one thats either DOA or I kill one....I keep it and scavange the CZ off of it. Then I put them on my Jets. :)

now that I think about it....I think I will try and get some sleep as well.....talk amongst yourselves.....see you tonight! (still prayin' for you Basementcat....and your girls)

OK, on that note. This is most likely a PCC issue, but when I charged the PB w/ a "Smoking Anywhere" PCC, the LED never shut off, but the PCC turned green. IS the charger sending a signal to the PB to shut off the LED? Or is the PCC bunk(I only paid $5, so it won't hurt my feelings if it is).

I threw this idea out there before, but nobody caught it... Ha!! Now that I see how many posts we have here after only a couple of days, it seems like an even better idea to me now!!

Are you listening LK??

Here's the plan:
Start up a Social Group for the Beta Testers... There is a place for only members to post AND we can have our own forum, too, complete with different threads for each issue: such as batteries, charging, etc... and even one for Q&A!! I think it would be much more organized and easier for everyone to find and/or post the info they are looking for... especially as we get further into the test!!

So, whaddya say??

found my puppy in the mailbox today. had it open and making vapor before my car was even parked. so far, 41 puffs and it's doing marvelous, even with the habitual primer puff. vapor output is divine, flavor's pretty tasty although i've been spoiled with some really good homebrew cinnamon explosion all day. i'm really diggin the weight and feel of the beast...someone else mentioned already that it's really close to an analog, and i agree. draw ain't bad at all...feels like a well packed marlboro. i almost hate to put it down to take a shower.

I am fine with whatever decision is made... someone just tell me where to go then... but I think you need 20 people to join to make a social group (I am not sure if that is right.. thought I remember reading that somewhere). I know that there are 30 (?) beta testers.. but I am not sure that all 30 have checked in yet... I didn't count. I am not sure how much more work that may put on Lk either...

ok, love, love the looks of the pitbull and no problems with the duration. but i will start all over again tomorrow with an atty. i'm just not pleased with the carto performance. it is not the battery, a trueman carto does great on the pitbull. now, remember, i had to clean this carto due to my pg allergies and something could have gone wrong.

Honestly, what ever works for LK is fine. I don't mind reading through all the discussions. Coming from the QA industry(worked in it off and on since I was 16), discussion brings out some really good points, and clears things up well.

No actually look at post 122 and you'll see thats how they're supposed to be and how all mine have been.

At the risk of flogging a dead horse... (bad phrase for you animal lovers)... I think there might be a misunderstanding ... Plastic ring with hole in it at the top of the carto to seal it. The mouthpiece cap. Then space. Then silicone seal with hole, then fiber filter (no hole), then silicone seal with hole, then juicy filler material with a tube down the center.

My only thought is, if the cartos are not built consistenly the same, then there is a QA problem in china.

In later posts he pointed out that the first two were assembled differntly than the next one he opened. Also, someone else had the same issue. So, it is possible some of mine are like that. Just keep an eye out fo that, and I guess report back if it happens to you.

UPDATE - My puppy arrived today, thanks LK for sending me another since the original has yet to appear.

Today I'm having some severe wheezing/breathing issues for some reason, so I think I'll wait til this has passed to try her out, BTW her name is "Miracle" I'm more than positive this is a fitting name.

She is beautiful, I'm going to let her feel her way around the house today, get to know the other residents and establish her order in the roost. I want to give a unbiased but true review for this and will keep semi-tabs on this thread so I don't let anyone influence me. Have a good day everyone, looking forward to better breathing and putting this thru the paces! Vicki

(off topic so sorry) My daughter is ok. My wife is still very weak so I'm picking up the load for her around the house, so essentially double the normal work and I'm running myself ragged. Two er visits and still no answer but hopefully it let's up soon cuz I dunno how long I can keep up on such few hours sleep and so much work. (back to topic, again sorry just updating)

So I've been able to resume my puff count and performance testing. Will post the results whenever the bat dies. Last time it lasted me a little over 5 and a half hours and 142 puffs but that was off factory charge so we will see where it ends today.
